So cute!Posted Jan 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
Joe and Judy were the perfect hosts. We had a wonderful stay and were welcomed with open arms. Joes has interesting life stories, which he is more than willing to share over breakfast. The breakfast was quite delicious. The little babbling brook to the side of the house was so charming. The only thing that we found was the sheets had a couple of stains, and they were happy to change the linens. Overall, I would return and would definitely recommend it to others.

Joe and Judy were so kind and helpful! The breakfast was out of this world! It was huge and delicious. It felt more like a home than a hotel . I highly recommend it.

Great HostsPosted Oct 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hosts were a lovely couple. Breakfast was excellent and plenty. Bed was very comfortable. Other facilities were adequate. Not as close to Biltmore as others but not that far away either. Wifi was fast.

A charming time in the country!Posted Oct 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very congenial and interesting hosts, and one of the best breakfasts at a B&B that we ever experienced. Close enough to Asheville to be convenient to all sights, but a break from the City or suburban sprawl. Very highly recommended!

Wonderful Bed & BreakfastPosted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: The hospitality of the owners. The setting along a mountain stream. The large room with a king size bed. The view from the deck. Ella, the guinea hen.
Cons: The stairs to the second floor were narrow. The wooden blinds in bedroom needed cleaning.
Location: Near Asheville, the Biltmore House, Pisgah Inn, the Blue Ridge Parkway
Wonderful Bed & Breakfast in the mountains. Wonderful location: Not far from Asheville and Biltmore. Near the Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah Inn. Delightful host and hostess. A great breakfast!!! Ella(?) the guinea hen provided an interesting flavor and a nice wake up call after 7 am. The family atmosphere: hosts, guest, pets provided a welcoming stay. We feel ourselves as among the fortunate who were guests of Rock Laurel B & B.

Pros: We liked the owners and their hospitality.
Cons: Rooms should be cleaner.
Location: Our main purpose to be in Asheville, was to visit the biltmore estate. it was a little out of the way.
Our first time in bed and breakfast. Owners very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. We found it to be a little out of the way for our purposes, also, was very disappointed about the cleanliness of the room. It was very dusty and blinds just plain dirty. Bed was comfortable and bath facility good.

Better than a HotelPosted Oct 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a wedding to go to, and decided to stay here instead of a hotel...and Im so glad we did! Joe and Judy were very nice and hospitable, making sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The room (with its private bathroom) was relaxing and perfectly charming. Breakfast was AWESOME as was the wonderful conversations we had with Joe, Judy and the other guests. I wish we couldve stayed longer, but at least now we know.....if we are ever back in the Asheville area again, we will definitely be going back to Rock Laurel Bed and Breakfast!!! :)

Warm welcomePosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Location, hosts/owners, cleanliness, style.
Cons: Water pressure was a little low when everyone tried to use the water at once.
The owners welcomed us as if we were friends or relatives. The country-style breakfast was delicious, full and hearty. We really enjoyed our stay and would return.
