My mother and I visited Ashland over the 4th of July weekend for the Shakespeare Festival. We got a 2 bed nonsmoking room on the first floor in the back. The beds were quite comfortable... no complaints. The best thing was that the hotel was very very quiet, even with the holiday weekend. I never heard a single sound from neighboring rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful, readily accomodating our last-minute request for a first floor room even after having prepped the keys for a second floor room. The room was quite cold when we arrived but the air conditioner was easy to adjust, unlike some other hotels I've stayed in, so we quickly found an optimal temperature despite the very hot weather. There is ample parking and we had no trouble finding a space even late at night. The wi-fi connection speed was pretty fast... just did some light web surfing but had no problems connecting, unlike some other similarly priced Ashland hotels I've stayed at in the past.
Overall, a very pleasant experience. I will probably stay here again.

The Rodeway Inn was easily accessible from I-5 and we had no trouble finding the hotel. Next door is the Wild Good Cafe & Bar and we had an excellent dinner there. On the opposite corner is an ARCO station where we filled the tank at $2.85/gallon. Being from California, that was a price we hadn't seen in years!
