“A Pleasant Hotel”
Nice and clean and modern. People that worked there were friendly and accommodating. We had a nice view of the mountain side. Only complaint would be that we were downstairs and people walking around ski boots were loud upstairs. No complaints. If I get a good deal or something, I would comeback, but otherwise, I don't mind checking out other places. The location was good to - close to downtown and 5 min car ride from the slopes.
“I want to make this a tradition”
We had a wonderful stay-- the architecture, elegant simplicity, influence of The Aspen Institute and the attentive and friendly staff made this a memorable visit. Very refreshing, renewing, beautiful. Not at the base of the ski area, but we enjoyed being away from the activity and shuttle was convenient.
“Good hotel”
The location is great, employees are nice, the room is very comfortable. The first day my room was not cleaned. My room was far away from th parking lot (it is not easy walking at -15C). In general the hotel attended my expectations.
“Needs freshening up - a new coat of paint would help a lot”
Overall O.K.. Nice setting and views. Campus-like grounds. Cluster of several buildings with approximately eigh rooms in each. Lobby/check-in and restaurant in separate building. This type of separation adds to the privacy of the place. The grounds could be lighted up better at night - adding low-level pathway lighting versus higher-level pole lighting would help. The whole place needs to be freshened up with a new coat of paint needed on buildings exterior, interior hallways, and individual rooms. Exterior unit door didn't close all the way on its own. Exterior light fixtures on some of the units were crooked, etc. These little things give it a "run down" appearance which is unfortunate. Aspen Meadows needs to update its appearance to take advantage of its surroundings which should pay off in an improved rating.
“Beautiful.”
Very welcoming staff, great room, good food, beautiful environment.
“Great place, but glad I reserved through Expedia...”
Loved the secluded resort atmosphere and the studios are newly and very well appointed. The grounds are very nicely manicured and the place has a gym and a lap pool that one could actually use for real exercise. Still, don't know that I would ever pay the very high rate posted in the room! The only con I saw is that they allow people to bring their pets and although the rooms look clean it's hard to get rid of pet related issues such as fleas and such.
“Aspen, but with space to roam right out your door. Great spot.”
Aspen Meadows is just outside of downtown Aspen, but plenty close for easy access. But while you're at the hotel you feel much more of a sense of space and relaxation. It's a great spot.
“Will be back”
This is my choice of hotels when I am in Aspen. There is so much room around the hotel unlike other hotels. They accept pets which is important for many of us. The hotel restaurants is rated as one of the best in Aspen. See you soon Aspen Meadows.
“recommend it”
Go back to Aspen Meadows every winter for skiing in the area. Great shuttle service to town, wonderful personable staff.
“Very nice”
Gorgeous location, gorgeous contemporary rooms, much larger than a regular hotel room. The outdoor pool & spa is wonderful. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The shuttle to town every half hour is a fantastic service. Only a 7 minute walk to catch the bus to all the snowfields. The main lounge area has an open fire and smores ingredients every night - yum! Also if lamb sliders are on the menu when you are there make sure to order them, unbelievably good!! Our room had a problem with the heating (a boiler issue currently being reviewed by the Board) & when we mentioned it we were upgraded immediately to another amazing room. Nothing bad to say whatsoever :)
