Spring Break Ski Trip

Posted Mar 23, 2014
They had the Red Bull snowboarding event the same week as Spring Break. Very noisy with outdoor parties. Not family friendly to have this event at the same time as Spring Break.

First the good, they have a shuttle bus that can take you into aspen. The breakfast is also above average for a continental. And the bad. Everything is old and worn. The entire building smells somewhat faintly of sewage. It tries to be a decent hotel, but is poorly managed and it shows.

Hotel does not have wine openers, had to go the bar with my wine so they can open. Got snowed in with no bottled water in any vending machine. only water available was in bar or restaurant.

Pleasant hotel on the ski fields of Buttermilk.

Pros: Very pleasant staff. Ski in, ski out. Room large enough to accommodate four adults easily.
Cons: Room cleaning was a bit hit and miss.
Location: The transfer shuttle to and from the airport and the main town of Aspen was an excellent service.
Very pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful, and the shuttle service was excellent. Great location for skiers, as it was ski-in, ski-out., right in front of the chairlifts. Ski hire etc very close as well. Able to visit opthe other mountains easily with shuttle to ski further afield if desired. Bed comfortable, and room large enough to accommodate another adult couple, equally so for two children. Breakfast fresh, with a daily hot special being offered. Night entertainment (singer) in bar/lounge area in the evenings.

Pros: The rooms were nice (newly remodeled)
I was disappointed that they did not provide the continental breakfast that they said was included.

We had a very nice experience. The room is clean and the breakfast could be better.
