Great View at Buttermilk Ski Area

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Great Setting
Cons: A little dated
Hotel was undergoing renovation of restaurant, no food no bar. The morning started at 08:00 with the maid walking in the room. The room was updated and nice. A little far from town but they offer complimenatry shuttle service.

Accomodating Staff

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Great Staff. Clean rooms. Reasonable prices.
I had made a mistake in my reservation and was set for a different day (one that already passed). Even though the hotel was sold out, the staff went out of their way to find me a room from a last minute cancellation. They went above and beyond the call of duty.

Cheap... But for a reason.

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Construction noise construction inconvenience. rude staff airport landing/takeoff right above hotel poor cleaning = cheap rate. Too bad expedia didn't mention that at purchase. Not worth what we paid... The only positive was the kids had lots of fun in the pool... I can't recommend this one u less you sleep with earplugs and don't mind tidying up your own space...

Undergoing Rehab

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Currently undergoing a much needed rehab. If done well, this will be a great place to stay (hope they eliminate the pocket doors to the bathrooms). Location is good - away from the traffic and crowds of Aspen. Good access to airport and Maroon Bells; downtown is a short drive away.

Terrible staff

Posted Aug 7, 2014
I was woken up at 7:00 Am because of renovation work. The 2nd day the maid came in at 7:30 and woke me up. Check in staff was extremely rude. All in all I don't think I would stay here or recommend it to anyone. Terrible experience.

mediocre hotel

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The staff were courteous.
This hotel is old and tired. If you want to ski at Buttermilk, it's a great location. For summer visits to Aspen, the location is too far out of town. You need a shuttle to get everywhere, which the hotel does provide. Rooms are OK, but nothing great. Lobby being renovated, but pretty dismal right now. Very noisy on Friday night when the music right outside our window lasted much longer than promised. It took forever to get checked in.

aspen 7/27

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: Great price and value for summer in Aspen Colorado. Confortable beds and linens. Nice outside deck with the room overlooking the pool area.
Cons: Breakfast service was a little sparce and hard to locate all the menu items.
Location: Lots of things to do including hiking and moutain bike riiding directly form the hotel onto the winter ski slope and trails.
Even though there was construction happening at the entry the facility was great. The outside pool was wonderful and the hot tub was clean and inviting.
