Beautiful View from our Room

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Our room was wonderful and the view was beautiful. The only thing I didn't test was the pool. Everything else was wonderful and the staff was great to us. The beds were so comfortable and it really was perfect.

Inn at Aspen

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Hotel in under renovation. No breakfast as stated, cleaning staff not stellar. Reasonably priced for Aspen.

Good place to stay in Aspen, away from Aspen....

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Quiet!
I've always liked the Inn at Aspen even when I lived in Aspen. They are simple without the in town glitter. The rooms are always comfortable and clean. They were under reno's during our stay, but it didn't seem to interfere with our stay. The only thing I wish they had was a wine bottle opener! Please, have one at the front desk. Oh, an Ronnie, the shuttle driver is the best!

under construction

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: not my favorite hotel right now but probably a lot better when it is not under construction
Cons: see above
Location: away from town so you can't walk there as you can from many aspen hotels
hotel under construction right now so has no facilities right now. Can't get meals there and nothing is within walking distance although hotel has an efficient shuttle that will take you anywhere

Nice hotel, but not exactly "resort" quality

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Location, size of the room, price
Cons: The little details, felt run down
Location: Aspen is 3 minutes away by car
This is a perfectly nice hotel, and I enjoyed my stay here. And I would stay here again. But considering they tout being a "resort", you would think they would pay attention to the details. This one does not. Beyond the fact that they seem to be in perma-construction mode right now (and parking lot is a nightmare!), the hotel itself is a little run down. The room we got was very comfortable and spacious, but there were missing light bulbs, the faucet in the bathroom was wobbly and leaked, there was no shelf at all in the shower so you had to put all your stuff on the floor, hot water was merely medium heat, and the door leading outside did not have proper sealing (you could hear the wind rattling the door at times). On the plus side, it's right outside aspen, so it takes 3 minutes to get to downtown area, they have a complimentary shuttle, and the price was right. I would stay here again. I just won't go in thinking it's a resort.

Cons: Bigger sign from highway entrance would make it easier to locate, especially in the dark.
Very welcoming and accommodating. Check in and check out was speedy. Amenities and pool were plentiful.

Sad to see how Inn at Aspen turned into a dump

Posted Mar 26, 2014
Pros: Location is awesome. Hotel staff really good, doing the best they could under the circumstances-fixing broken stuff + managing Red Bull illicit crowd.
Cons: Hotel needs total maintenace/remodeling. Glad to hear about the plan to do so. Added monitoring/security when guests behave like drunken monkeys.
Location: BEST location, ski in/out close to lift-perfect! Easy ride to Aspen and Snowmass. Couldn't be better for many reasons.
This hotel is located in such a nice spot and we love to visit every year. We will think again. Lack of maintenance made us very sad and uncomfortable. Also, there was a huge number of people from Red Bull Team and, some of them acted with total disrespect for the hotel and other guests. We saw one guy walking from a Red Bull pool party to pee righ close to to the Bunny Hill lift. Thank God it was after 4, lift closed. Of course our access to the heated pool and or the whirlpool was compromised because of the bad clientele in the area. In many instances we spotted some "guys" walking in their underwear across hotel hallways and one at the bar! We complained to the manager at the front desk, Chris, and he responded promptly took action to check it out, communicated to the Red Bull rep. There were some nice people, but majority were drinking too much and acting like the hotel was their "party place". I say: Shame on Red Bull Team! You made our lives miserable at Inn at Aspen.

Spring Break Ski Trip

Posted Mar 23, 2014
They had the Red Bull snowboarding event the same week as Spring Break. Very noisy with outdoor parties. Not family friendly to have this event at the same time as Spring Break.
