“Very comfortable and cozy”
I stayed at this condo hotel 2x in Oct and Nov 2011 while in the Snowmass area for business. Each time was in a different condo; both were recently remodeled "premier condo suites" with a king size bed which could be closed off from the living room and queen sleeper sofa by a wall-to-wall room divider. The beds were comfortable and had nice linens. The toiletries were also nice. Each condo had an iPod docking station/clock radio. The kitchens were well-appointed with a good coffee-maker, electric stove, oven, microwave & dishwasher. The pots and pans were plentiful and in good shape, as were the stoneware dishes and utensils. There was plenty of storage for my suitcase and clothes. The condos were accessed from an interior hallway but also had a door leading directly to the outside. Each was on ground level, so I kept the venetian blinds closed most of the time for privacy (facing slope side). That was fine, since I wasn't there during the daytime, but trading off daylight for privacy might bother me if I planned to be there during daylight hours. I also would prefer a deadbolt lock on the slopeside exterior door. One condo had a combo shower/tub, the other just a nicely tiled shower. If my young daughter had been with me, I would have wanted the combo shower/bath. The size and layout of the condo is comfortable for 2 people; I would have felt cramped with 4 in the room, unless 2 were kids 10 years or younger. The overall value was GREAT for what I paid. I'd return
“Small condo was beautiful”
Stayed in off season, so not many people around. Laurelwood is condo units. Ours was 1 bedroom, bath, kitchen, LR with deck. Beautifully decorated. Only had a queen bed. We had a little trouble finding it but finally just keep going up the mountain until we spotted it. Would have stayed here a long time but just passing through!
“We keep coming back!”
My daughters's and I absolutely love the Laurelwood condos. We have stayed there 3 times and each time the service, cleanliness, and comfort exceeds our expectations. We enjoy the cabin-like feel, cozied up along the mountain slope.....beautiful! The kitchen is fully stocked, so bring some food and enjoy your meals from your room. We usually plan a hike during the day, come back to the condo and soak in the hot tubs. It's also just a short drive to downtown Aspen if you want to shop or dine out. I will not stay anywhere else in the Aspen/Snowmass area because it's the best.
“Natural Beauty”
Loved the location and accommodations! Up on the mountain skiing or for us, hiking, right out your door. Don't know why more people don't hike here in the summer. The condo we were in (109) had everything you need. Even an electric grill on the deck. Peaceful and quiet1
“Super nice and priced right”
We were very pleased with our stay at Laurelwood. For about the same or less than the price of a hotel room, we had a spacious "suite" with a full kitchen, sitting area with seating for 4, and a bed. The fold-out queen-sized couch was one of the most comfortable ones I've ever slept on. We paid the extra money to get a premier unit, so ours had been renovated to look nearly new. We also had a patio with an electric grill, but there are so many good restaurants in Snowmass, we chose to enjoy eating out rather than cooking dinner ourselves. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The location is handy to Snowmass Village mall (5 min walk down the hill). If you're looking for a peaceful summer experience, Snowmass Village is the spot. All the fun things to do in Aspen are only about 20 minutes away, but you don't have to contend with all the traffic and parking problems.
“Terrific stay”
Excellent service, comfortable place, many amenities. What more could you ask?
“A Great Deal!”
Everything was as advertised. Laurelwood is a condo, so we got all the amenities of being at home. The outside hot tubs were great - we sat through a rain storm, Close by to dining and shopping in Snowmass Village, and close to the ski slopes. Even though it was summer there was a free concert on the slopes.
“Can't wait to go back”
spacious room, Folding screen seperate the bed and living area. sleeper sofa is big enough for two adults or three kids.Nice kitchen got good quality cookware that you need.
“Very Nice”
Nice Condo - very handy public transportation
“We would stay here again, no question.”
We requested a king size bed which they gave us, apparently only a few of the condos have them. It did have a large dip in the mattress but we were able to turn the mattress which helped. The people at the front desk were always helpful, when I expressed concern about the room being hot we were given a fan which we put in the window and we were very comfortable. The housekeeping staff were very efficient and all were eager to help. The jacuzzi's in the back were great. There is a fountain in the front that is simulating a mountain stream. Our room was directly over this and we found it to be a little loud, it is not a trickle. I wouldn't say it disturbed our sleep however. We also faced the street and so we heard cars and people quite a bit. If we go back we will probably request the other side. We did have a nice view from our balcony of a mountain. Our room was very clean and the kitchen was well supplied. The furnishings were quite dated but that was ok, we were on the balcony every chance we got.
