“We would stay here again, no question.”
We requested a king size bed which they gave us, apparently only a few of the condos have them. It did have a large dip in the mattress but we were able to turn the mattress which helped. The people at the front desk were always helpful, when I expressed concern about the room being hot we were given a fan which we put in the window and we were very comfortable. The housekeeping staff were very efficient and all were eager to help. The jacuzzi's in the back were great. There is a fountain in the front that is simulating a mountain stream. Our room was directly over this and we found it to be a little loud, it is not a trickle. I wouldn't say it disturbed our sleep however. We also faced the street and so we heard cars and people quite a bit. If we go back we will probably request the other side. We did have a nice view from our balcony of a mountain. Our room was very clean and the kitchen was well supplied. The furnishings were quite dated but that was ok, we were on the balcony every chance we got.
“Exceptional place to stay”
Very nice room, decorated beautifully, plenty of room and extremely clean. Service was outstanding. close to the mall and shuttles. Wonderful place to stay!!
“Small condo was beautiful”
Stayed in off season, so not many people around. Laurelwood is condo units. Ours was 1 bedroom, bath, kitchen, LR with deck. Beautifully decorated. Only had a queen bed. We had a little trouble finding it but finally just keep going up the mountain until we spotted it. Would have stayed here a long time but just passing through!
“A great hotel”
We visited Aspen / Snowmass to see the fall colors in late September. The Laurelwood was a perfect hotel for our needs. They provided a crib for our baby, and the room was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The kitchen supplies are adequate but not extensive, but the space and overall amenities are much better than we have experienced at similar hotels. I would recommend this hotel to anyone without reservations.
“Nicely redecorated and clean as a whistle.”
Our room appeared to have been freshly redecorated. We found it warm and comfortable. It was more like visiting someones home than a hotel. The full kitchen had all new appliances and a full compliment of dishes, silverware, utensils, pots, pans etc. The complimentary bottle of local wine was a classy touch. This was one of the best values I've had in a long time. The next time we visit the area we will definately stay at the Laurelwood.
“A wonderful experience”
A mountain setting, A great hotel staff, comfortable clean rooms, Aspen just 8 miles away, this is the recipe for a great vacation. One that my wife and I just took. We had a great time and that if anyone else does it to, will also have a great time.
“great place to stay.”
The mattress in the unit was very uncomfortable but the couch was cozy, as was the rest of the place. I would have loved to stay longer.
“Absolute perfection. Would love to go back!”
I cannot say enough good things about the Laurelwood. We went September 2008 to see the aspen trees changing and went to Maroon Bells. My boyfriend and I live in Denver so it was just a weekend trip. Maroon Bells was perfect, and the Laurelwood is about a 10 minute drive from Maroon Bells and Aspen. It was significantly cheaper to stay in Snowmass than in Aspen. The condo we had was very clean, and it had a feeling of being at home. There was a patio with a grill and we were right by the lifts. This is perfect for skiiers and perfect for families. It has a couch with a pull out bed. It was a one bedroom, but it was enormous. Fully stocked kitchen, all you need is the food.
“Excellent Hoten in Aspen Snowmass”
The hotel is good and the room is huge. You can staty 5 people very confort in it and it has place to cook your meal.
“Very comfortable and cozy”
I stayed at this condo hotel 2x in Oct and Nov 2011 while in the Snowmass area for business. Each time was in a different condo; both were recently remodeled "premier condo suites" with a king size bed which could be closed off from the living room and queen sleeper sofa by a wall-to-wall room divider. The beds were comfortable and had nice linens. The toiletries were also nice. Each condo had an iPod docking station/clock radio. The kitchens were well-appointed with a good coffee-maker, electric stove, oven, microwave & dishwasher. The pots and pans were plentiful and in good shape, as were the stoneware dishes and utensils. There was plenty of storage for my suitcase and clothes. The condos were accessed from an interior hallway but also had a door leading directly to the outside. Each was on ground level, so I kept the venetian blinds closed most of the time for privacy (facing slope side). That was fine, since I wasn't there during the daytime, but trading off daylight for privacy might bother me if I planned to be there during daylight hours. I also would prefer a deadbolt lock on the slopeside exterior door. One condo had a combo shower/tub, the other just a nicely tiled shower. If my young daughter had been with me, I would have wanted the combo shower/bath. The size and layout of the condo is comfortable for 2 people; I would have felt cramped with 4 in the room, unless 2 were kids 10 years or younger. The overall value was GREAT for what I paid. I'd return
