Nice hotel very convenient to every wherePosted Jul 9, 2014
A nice hotel, the staffs are very very helpful and friendly. It has everything you need. The room is a little bit run down. It has a big dinning area where you can snack relax and have some tea or coffee any time. The washer and dryer are conveniently located in the basement which are free to use.

Adequate accommodations walkable to Main St.Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: Overall a bit tired and could be spruced up.
Location: Walkable to center of town and shops and to nearby hiking trails as well as close to the supermarket.
Very pleasant and welcoming desk staff. Room was large--king bed plus a couch and clean. No elevator, no air conditioning and no humidifiers so it was warm and dry. Bathroom was small, but towels were soft. Overall, the place looked a bit worn and in need of some refurbishing. Continental breakfast included with the room included a selection of fresh fruit in addition to bagels, bread and pastries plus juice, coffee and tea. The next day's newspaper indicated that the place was put on the market for sale. So, if you'e looking for decent, basic and relatively inexpensive for Aspen, accommodations then this will be fine.

Affordable, Clean, ConvenientPosted Jun 1, 2014
Affordable compared to other Aspen accommodations. Clean. Close to town center--an easy 4 block walk. Not the Taj Mahal-- but quite satisfactory.

Nice quite placePosted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, hot tub and the breakfast.
Cons: Our room was a bit small....but for the price, it worked out just fine for a long ski weekend!
Location: While its not on a main bus line, its within walking distance to downtown and parking was great.
Nice place....a bit older, but clean and well cared for. Nice breakfast, friendly staff, and clean. Enjoyed the hot tub. our room was a bit small...not a place to spend much time in, especially for two! I would recommend this hotel.

Friendly, comfortable B & BPosted Mar 3, 2014
Everybody at the Mountain House Lodge, Linda and Michael in particular, were fantastic. The daily breakfast was great, yogurt, eggs and bacon/sausage, bagels and toast, cereal, a pancake machine, juice and coffee. The beds were also really comfortable. The walls were a little thin, so you could hear people talking, but it wasn't a problem in the evening because the 10 pm quiet rule was respected. They have a room where you can leave your stuff after check out if you're lucky enough to ski the day you leave. There is a grocery store a couple of blocks away, which is also where the local bus to all the other mountains has a stop, so it's very convenient.

Aspen gemPosted Feb 7, 2014
Pros: Quiet atmosphere. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location.
This is a nice B & B in the heart of Aspen. Can't beat the price for a room in Aspen. The hotel staff is so friendly and helpful. The Mountain House Lodge has a nice atmosphere. The breakfast is good and the bed was super comfortable. There are two parts to the hotel--one is more updated than the other. Ask for a room in the more updated area. We would stay here again.
