Perfect for the Aspen Winternationals!

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: It is NOT pretentious like everything else in Aspen! It feels like home.
Cons: We are very happy with things as they are.
Location: It is a 10-minute walk to the ski slopes and/or downtown. We drive there, leave the car and can walk to anything we want to attend in Aspen.
We stay here every year for the Women's World Cup ski race on Thanksgiving weekend. We have always enjoyed it; the rooms are clean, it's very homey and comfortable, with a nice lounge with fireplace and newspapers, popcorn, wine, coffee...there is a continental breakfast provided, although we prefer something more substantial. We have recommended this hotel to many friends, and they have all enjoyed it. We hope to stay there for many years to come!

Basic, economical, nice staff

The comfortable lounge area by the fireplace and nice garden area around the pool were great for us because several groups of our family were staying. The staff were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The dorm room with bathroom across the hallway was just fine for my son and I. Overall, a good value option.

Acceptable hotel in Aspen.

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Within about 10 blocks of downtown Aspen. Walking distance. The pool was quite nice (even though I didn't use it).
Cons: The room I stayed in could have used an update. The tile was brown, and there were limited receptacles for our electronics.
We found the hotel to be quite dated, but surprisingly clean for the age of the room. I am not the kind of person who needs glamour while traveling for business, so this was acceptable for the rate in comparison to other hotels. Service was exceptional, they called me personally to ensure our reservation was correct - which we verified before I got to the hotel. I would stay there again.

Perfect hide away in Aspen!

Posted Sep 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
I really enjoyed my two days at the St. Moritz. I was in town for the Tough Mudder and had never been to Aspen. The staff was helpful and the hotel was clean and well kept. The breakfast was plentiful and healthy with an assortment of fruits, cereal, and breads and pastries. The pool looked wonderful although I did not swim. The walk to the central of town was 6 or so blocks. Good stay. They even served cookies, punch and wine in the afternoon.

Didn't get what I reserved

Posted Sep 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
I specifically chose this hotel because my brother and I were going to be in town and needed two beds. When we arrived, they gave us a room with one bed. The receptionist couldn't understand why that was a problem and seemed to think that a blow-up mattress more than made up for their error. The property was fairly nice but if you need the amenities you reserved, I'd recommend you go elsewhere.
