“Friendly hotel”

Aswan is not a Western city and lacks some of the comforts of home. But Marhaba Hotel is well located - near the station - friendly and offers good front desk service in English. The aircon worked, but only with the room key in the slot so it heated up when we were out. Our bathroom didn't have aircon and was a bit hot and pokey, but the facilities were perfectly adequate for the price range. The food in the restaurant is good but slow - you do better to head out for meals.
