“Perfect location”

This hotel has the perfect location for visiting Athens. It is in the heart of Plaka and within walking distance to all the important sites. The rooms are small, but clean.

“a great choice for us”

Searched Lonely Planet and web sites extensively for a reasonably priced clean and safe hotel in Athens. Adam's is perfect, located on the edge of Plaka, within easy pedestrian reach of the Acropolis Metro and the major archeological sites and museums. It is clean, in a safe area, with very helpful and knowledgeable concierges who speak good English. Internet was welcome; continental breakfast was provided, though very basic.

“Fabulous Location!”

This was such a fun hotel. Fabulous location - in the Plaka and only four blocks from the Flea Market (it all ties together). Only 4 blocks from metro but we only took it to get to and from the airport. This hotel is within walking distance of EVERYTHING. Only 3 blocks from the Acropolis and Museum. Hotel was spacious with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. It is very old, but it is fun and quirky. We weren't in our room much and location was main reason why we stayed. The staff was pleasant and worked hard to make us comfortable. It's nothing fancy, but we're in Athens. The more I save on a hotel room the more I can spend on a fur. Fur coats are a 1/4 the price of furs in America. Took train ride ($1.25) to ocean (20 minute ride).

“Jackie”

Before booking this hotel I read several reviews. Everyone said the neighborhood was perfect, but the beds were hard. I agree entirely with this scenario. But the hotel was cheap and you get what you pay for. We had a very small balcony, that we used several times. We stayed 5 nights from Nov 27th to Dec 2nd. We were lucky that the weather was mild. In the 70's most of the time, with no rain. The bathroom was different. The only shower we had was in the bath, so one had to sit or squat in the bath to take a shower. Very basic, but manageable if you are a normal sized person. This would not have worked for someone who was overweight. The breakfast was toast, and slices of cheese, with tea, or coffee and orange juice. My husband and I bought some bananas from a nearby shop to compensate. There was a small TV in the room and we managed to find a couple of stations showing English films and shows with Greek subtitles. It also had MTV. Staff was friendly and spoke most spoke very good English. Overall, a very pleasant trip and experience in the hotel.

“Convenient location.”

Clean room, friendly staff, very firm bed. Was within walking distance of acropolis, parthenon, etc. as well as the Plaka District.

“Great location, good rooms”

The hotel is in a nice touristy neighborhood, with lots of restaurants nearby. The Acropolis looks close enough to touch from your balcony, and is a short walk away. The hotel is clean and nice, nothing fancy but comfortable. The staff spoke English without difficulty. We thought it was a great hotel.

“It's so good I'd recommend it to my family”

Wow! What a great place...nice big, clean room right in the middle of the Plaka. Breakfast is light..but tasty and we found the staff very helpful

“Great location and good for the price”

The hotel and rooms are a little dated and small, but they are clean and comfortable and the staff welcoming and helpful. This is a budget hotel for central Athens and on that basis I think it's good value, especially given the convenient, safe location. If you're used to luxuries then you'll be disappointed but if you want something simple, cheap and comfortable then I'd happily recommend.

“Not Impressed”

In terms of location in the Plaka neighborhood of Athens, this hotel was perfect! The room was very spacious and bright by Greek standards but the decor was drab and tired. The bathroom was also way too tiny. That said, the folks running the hotel were very sweet and there's free internet and a book swap in the breakfast room.

“Will never go back”

The room was freezing, even though we went in February there was no heat and we had to ask for extra blankets. The hot water in the bathroom took forever to get warm and only ran for about 10 mintues. Not long enough for two people to shower. The shower was disgusting. The curtains stuck to you while you were trying to clean yourself and the drain didn't drain at all so you ended up standing in your own filth the whole time you showered. Not to mention everything leaked so after spending 2 mintues in the bathroom everything was wet. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and unstrudy. The view was quite nice of the Parthenon and the neighborhood was great but I'll never stay here again.
