Big rooms, nice stay.

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Room space, good breakfast.
Cons: Hotel has only 2 small and slow elevators
Location: Licabitus hill is very close
Hotel location is not quite central, but metro station is just 5-10min walking distance. Otherwise the hotel is fine.

Very nice hotel close to the city center. Very well welcomed upgrade of the room we have originally booked. We will definitely choose this hotel next time we fly to Athens.

There are better hotels in Athens for the price.

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Better noise insulation for rooms.
Location: Not to far from the metro and there are buses that go downtown. There is a nice square nearby to relax and have coffee. Close to the US embassy.
The hotel was very noisy, mainly because it was impossible to close the doors to the rooms without making a lot of noise. Also conversations in adjacent rooms could easily be heard. The air conditioning in the room was difficult to control. Free parking was advertised but the hotel has practically no spaces. On the plus side the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good.

Dear David, We appreciate the time and effort you put into recording your comments concerning your stay in Airotel Alexandros hotel. We are happy to learn that you found the location of our hotel convenient. We are sorry on the other hand to learn that you were not fully satisfied with your stay in our rooms. We would like to let you know that changing of doors in the rooms is in the next updating project. Also, we are sorry to hear that you found the air conditioning difficult to control as it is controlled by 3 main switches (on/off, fan speed and temperature). However, our staff would be more than happy to assist you with any questions you might have had. Thank you for your positive comments concerning our staff and our breakfast. Those have already been forwarded to department heads. Once again thank you for your preference and sorry for any shortcomings from our part and sincerely hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future. Kind Regards, Nikos Kerasovitis Guest Service Manager

Good location, comfort and value!

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: The location was great, staff friendly and a solid breakfast buffet included.
Cons: The rooms are a bit small by North American standards but nothing to worry about. There are no directions on their website on how to get there.
Location: You can walk to the walkout point looking over Athens and in a matter of minutes can be on a metro to any of the sights or areas of Athens.
We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and found it to be a good all round spot. About a 5-10min walk to metro stations which are extremely easy to use to get around. We liked being close to the metro and sights but also being outside of the full chaos of Plako.

Nice hotel in a quiet area, good transport links.

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Location, ease of access to public transport and quiet location.
Cons: Cannot think of anything, good hotel for a short stay in Athens
Location: Good transport links, plenty of places to eat locally. A nice park nearby and Lycabettus Hill for a more strenuous walk.
Hotel is situated in a quiet street between two major streets, so very handy for metro and buses. Forty minutes walk to the centre of Athens. Metro to city and airport 5 minutes walk, bus to airport across the street. Comfortable rooms, good choice of breakfast, pleasant staff. This is our second time staying there and would stay there again.

Ok to stay but...

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: Acceptable cleanliness, especially bathroom. Fair value for money.
Cons: Facilities and decor.
It's ok to stay for a few days. The staff are polite. Our room was on first floor and there was scaffolding outside our balcony, which we weren't informed before and made it less safe and appealing for us. Found hair on towel before use, socket plug a bit loose though functioning, 80s tv with not clear reception on some channels but watchable. The bed only has one pillow per person (twin bedroom), bed blanket was very thin ( it's more like a bed sheet) and I didn't dare to use their spare thicker blanket on the shelf as it wasn't folded properly and looked like it hasn't been washed after last use. But the bathroom is clean and the overall cleanliness is okay.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your comments concerning your stay in our Hotel. It seems that there were a few shortcomings from our part that did not make your stay as comfortable as you would have expected. I apologise for those shortcomings and have already forwarded necessary information to department heads, in order to take action. Concerning the scaffolding outside your balcony, it has been placed there as a preparational work for the upcoming renovation of the Hotel's facade and poses in no way a threat to our guests' safety. The pique blankets are used during summer time when temperature at night doesn't fall bellow 23 C, so our guests can enjoy their sleep. I assure you that .the extra blankets available are always washed after last use. I apologise for the fact that yours was not placed inside its case as it should have been and thus gave you a wrong impression. Once again, thank you for your comments and I really hope that we could welcome you back in the near future so that you will give us the opportunity to offer the high levels of hospitality you should expect to receive from our Hotel. Good location but the room is a bit old.

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: friendly staff and good location
Cons: Room can be better.
Location: There are a few restaurants nearby and the food is not bad.
This hotel is located quite near various attractions. The metro and bus stop is within walking distance from the hotel. The staffs are very friendly and the breakfast is quite decent. The downside is the room is quite old. The first room we went to has no curtain, the second room's curtain has various holes. Do not take the corner room as the wifi signal is very weak there. Room is not sound proof, I can easily hear what is happening to the other room.
