Booked Acropolis Frame room with Balcony, double bed, end up with room without balcony and 2 single beds merged together. 2 phones were stolen near Syntagma Square area, too many thieves in Athens, not recommended to come, policemen are useless and not willing to protect tourists. Not a tourist friendly place. Better don’t go.

nice hotel, friendly staff, walkable to all tourist attractions. The only thing I will suggest fellow travelers is to bring ear plugs. Not the hotels fault. But there is a club near by that plays loud music until 3-4 in the morning.

This hotel offers nice view from some selected rooms and roof top. It is located close to public transportation and city center. There’s metro and bus connection from the airport. Very good hotel.

Hotel is newly renovated. Rooms are a bit small for two people. A lot of street noise if you are facing the street. Room was always hot. Strange considering it is winter. Breakfast room on the roof has amazing view of the acropolis. Cigarette smoke in the hallway in the morning. Excellent customer service at the bar.

Hotel was good, but lighting in the bathroom was poor and the shower door could be bigger the bathroom was full of water after a shower.. TV could do with the option to cast or link to phone Overall would recommend just for the breakfast view and convenient location everything very walkable.

We enjoyed staying at this property. It was close to shopping and many dining options and bars. Every person that we encountered that worked for this hotel was pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean and exactly what was described online. The breakfast buffet is good too. We will be back this year.

This was my first time at the Astor Hotel in Athens and I must say that it was pleasant considering that I was with a group of 22 students from the United States and due to the size of the group everything worked quite well while we were at the Astor. Prior to my arrival, there was a kind of confusion because my reservation, which was made with Expedia, did not appear in the hotel system, which caused concern on our part because this basically occurred a week before our trip and the reservation had been made since May 16, 2023, that is, 7 months before. Fortunately, this impasse was resolved and we enjoyed our stay at the Astor Athens Hotel. To all the hotel staff, thank you very much on our part.

very central location with walking distance to many shops and restaurants in a busy commercial area. many good cafes and restaurants are within a walkable distance. Convenient access to all services like shopping, taxi's always in front of the hotel, etc. No Gym / health centre in the hotel is the only possible critique - and only a small critique - given other hotels of the price.

Perfect location in the heart of Athens within easy walking distance of all the major attractions, shops, bars, restaurants etc. super comfy king sized bed however we didn’t get much sleep due to noisy neighbours partying into the small hours and noise from the busy road outside. Rooms need better soundproofing we came home exhausted. Also housekeeping very hit and miss we had to ask at reception twice in a 3 day night stay for toiletries to be replenished and no milk supplied on the 2nd day for tea and coffee. The hotel had a rooftop bar/restaurant with gorgeous views of the Parthenon but unfortunately this was closed on an evening, probably due to our being their out of season (December) but it was a shame as we would have loved to sit upstairs for drinks and enjoy the view. Not a problem though as their were plenty of hotels around with lovely roof top bars to sip cocktails while enjoying the beautiful view

My four nights at the Astor Hotel were a great pleasure. I was on the 8th floor with a room with a small balcony and a fabulous view of the Acropolis. You would want to be on this side of the hotel, on a floor high enough to have this view. The restaurant on the 10th floor had the same view. The area around this hotel is filled with enthusiastic nightlife. The nearby Syntagma metro station is on a direct metro line to the Athens Airport and has a convenient connection to Piraeus. The National Archaeological Museum and the Benaki Museum are within walking distance (at least in cool, not hot weather). The lobby is beautiful. My room was very comfortably furnished. On the whole, this was a fabulous place to be.

The hotel is in a nice convenient area, shopping, restaurants nearby. Underground is a short walk away. The 10th floor restaurant has a great view over the city but only used for breakfast. Overall the property looks like it was refurbished not too long ago but still needs the final touches.the window in the bathroom has a huge gap. Mold is building up. Great sliding doors to the balcony but they let through any noise, like the music from the bar opposite the hotel until 3am. Staff is ok but is lacking a bit of local knowledge.

Central hotel
This hotel is in the heart of the main attractions. Walking distance to everything. It is modern clean and extremely comfortable. We had breakfast included. Breakfast was served on the rooftop of the hotel with incredible 180 deg vistas of the acropolis and other areas. Price too was excellent. They also organised pickup for us from the airport (we arrived 2.30am!) and transport back. Highly recommend this hotel

Very good hotel but the sound from the street is high in the night and i tried to update the reservation before 5 days from 2 nights to read 1 night but it was not acceptable and expedia ask me to cancel all the reservation and create new booking whereby the rate was higher
