Perfect for site seeing tourists

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Hotel was perfectly located about a 3 minute walk from the train station, which is ideal for getting around Athens and seeing the sites. The Area seems a bit rough but we did not spend any time there apart from walking to and from the train station. Rooms are spotless and nicely decorated as are the bathrooms. The staff are so friendly and any queries we had regarding sites/ tours/ ferries etc they were able to answer with ease. Would definitely stay again!

Modern hotel, 25 minute walk to Acropolis

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Athens Lotus was a nice, modern hotel. It was small and quaint, but very clean and chic. There is a small restaurant in the hotel that serves American cuisine, but it was a bit expensive. We frequently ate at the taverna across the street - delicious and affordable with traditional Greek food. The hotel was about a 25 minute walk to the Plaka and Acropolis. We didn't mind the walk, but a cab could easily be taken as well.

nice and warm hotel

Posted Jun 16, 2014
The hotel looks nice and new. The room is kind of tiny but really lovely and i like it very much! The location is ok: it is not that close to the city center but about 4 metro station away so it is not too bad. However, the neighbor around is kind of sketchy so if you wanna walk back to the hotel do that before dark. Or you can always take the metro back to the hotel because the hotel is close to a metro station

Athens sightseeing trip.

Posted Jun 3, 2014
Pros: An unpretentious hotel. Excellent position for sightseeing. Spacious bedroom and bathroom, with clean linen & towels. Efficient helpful staff.
Cons: Although the evening meals were very good and freshly prepared, they involved a long wait. Excellent aubergine meal.
Location: Acropolis & other archaeological sights. Acropolis museum. City gardens. City bus tour, including Piraeus. Monastiraki Square. Soldiers at palace.
Although a very good standard of hotel, in an excellent position for hotel residents using public transport, the hotel is not easy to find. One metro entrance was about 50 metres from hotel and the Athens tour buses stop in Karaskai Square. When we arrived at the hotel after a very tiring journey, we were pleasantly surprised to see such a well presented but smallish hotel. Friendly, helpful staff, who booked a one day island-hopping cruise for us at short notice. The archaeological sights are wonderful and visits are very reasonable. At the old Royal Palace at 11am Sunday, we were fortunate to see the ceremonial changing of the guard in their (400) pleated white kilts ,,,,,,,a sight which was well worth waiting for in the June sunshine. The city bus tours (hop on, hop off)are good value and can include a bus trip to Piraeus.......well worth a visit.

The room and hotel facilities was great, but the front desk folks were not as friendly as I expected. Their prices is great and reasonable. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel in central Athens

Posted May 24, 2014
The room was clean and modern and the staff were friendly. The location is ideal as it's in walking distance of the acropolis and the popular gazi nightlife district. The breakfast buffet was tasty and both check out and check in were trouble free and efficient.
