Excellent location in the active area or AthensPosted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: Clean and simple.
Cons: Beds could be improved.
Location: Excellent access to restaurants, historical sights, flea markets and shopping.
I have stayed here twice. The staff was very helpful; they had the room ready early. The location is excellent for engaging in the activities of Athens from touring the Acropolis through the central market and flea markets.

Carlina, great location in AthensPosted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
Carolina was great for our family of four. They put up some extra beds and we had no complaints. This is not a luxury hotel, but its in a great location close to the center of Athens. There was even a balcony for us to go out on and view the street. The free breakfast wasn't much to talk about but it was fine. We don't go to a place to hang out in the hotel, so if that is you this is not your place. But if you're looking for a clean place in a great location within walking distance to the Parthenon, I recommend the Carolina.

Thanks CarolinaPosted Aug 2, 2013
Cons: single mattress on the bed
Location: History all around you. This is what I came for!
This hotel is advertised as a two star hotel, and that looks fairly accurate. We were a family of four, in one small room (North American standards) Things were tight enough, but room was clean, and staff was very helpful. The location cannot be beat. We were 5 minutes from the subway station (walking), and even closer to restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. I did not come to Greece to spend time in my Hotel room, so this was perfect. Great value. Great location. Thanks Carolina

Great location within walking distance of old cityPosted Jul 3, 2013
There was a problem with the internet acces the first night, but that was taken care of. All of the main tourist attractions and lots of cafes are in walking distance of the hotel. Rooms are small but that is normal in Europe. All the other hotels in this area were twice the price. Great value and location!

Nice hotelPosted Jun 3, 2013
Considering that Athens is not in good shape in the last few years, we found that this hotel was actually pretty good. The hotel looks nice and is in a good location. Everything was nice. I'm not sure which area of the city would be best to stay but we were only there for one night and it was nice.

Great ValuePosted Jun 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was bigger than expected with private balcony. AC helped us get a good nights sleep. check out at 12 but staff happy to look after our bags so we could make the most of our last day.Breakfast was basic continental but happy to pay 5euros for it. Would stay their again if visiting Athens.

Great for the moneyPosted May 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel had a great location. It was close to two subway stops but not needed for most of the sites. The breakfast was good. The staff was helpful in planning our day. Try the Hot Hot Burger stand up the street. Great value for breakfast or burgers. I would stay there again.

Great position, good valuePosted Apr 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
In a very good location for exploring Athens, Hotel Carolina provided great value for us, a family of four. It was also, easy to get to from the airport via the metro. We all enjoyed the breakfast - yoghurt, honey, cakes etc - which set us up for walking to the Acropolis and around Monastiraki. Although basic, our family room was fine for two nights. And the staff were very helpful, relaxed and friendly.
