Price vs. quality
Posted Jan 8, 2013
Pros: location - easy drive to Athens.
Cons: Updates
you get what you pay for. Dated but clean. A little worn but comfortable. Staff was very pleasant. Yes, I will stay again. Easy drive to Athens.

Needed a hotel because of my sons graduation
Posted Jan 5, 2013
Pros: location
Cons: everything
Location: Ohio University
The women who checked me in was not friendly at all. The room smelled so bad I had to leave the door open and blast the air conditioner forr almost a hour. We had to ask for milk for our cereal because it had not been put out.

Athens Days Inn
Posted Jan 22, 2013
Cons: The dirty carpet and peeling paint and drywall on the bathroom.
It's a shame that Day's Inn overall quality has gone downhill in the past decade or so. It used to mean a good place to stay. We only stayed there because all the nicer places in Athens, Ohio were already booked.

Bearable but a bit Tawdry
Posted Jan 21, 2013
Pros: The staff seemed friendly and tried to be helpful.
Cons: The nasty, stained bath linens in poor condition.
Location: Easy to get to.
The good: the staff was friendly and efficient; the location is convenient; coffee maker, fridge, and microwave in the room are nice features I appreciate; everything I wanted to use worked (the toilet flushed, the water ran, lights came on, the TV functioned, etc.). The not-so-good: the blanket was badly pilled and had bits of something (grass/sticks?) stuck in it; the coverlet was stained; the towel rack in the bathroom was broken and fell apart when I took a towel off it; some of the towels were stained (very faint yellow/pink spots); the washcloths were dingy, yellowish, and stiff; there were dead bugs in the bathroom light fixture; the bathroom walls showed some signs of the plaster cracking and had slight mildew stains; the bathroom door would not close completely. Next time in Athens I will try a different hotel.

The address it is not exactly what it is in Expedia, but staff was very helpful on the phone how to get there. Other than that everything was very good.

Adequate Room
Posted Jan 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel was very clean. It lacked up to date ammenities like a Keurig, but had a fridge. We had a room with two beds. One bed's foot was higher than the head of the bed and the other almost fell off the frame. Also our mattresses were very 'boucy'. However, the room and bathroom were very clean. I'd rather have clean over perfect comfort any day! I'd give this hotel an overall rating of average. For one night, at that price, it was certainly doable.

Good once I found it!

Snowy night, tough to see small sign-should put something on their website to tell you to turn at the car dealership and then drive 300 yards to Days Inn on left. No restaurants nearby so I got sandwiches at nearby convenience store. Nice counter staff.
