Gross and unclean

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Stains on sheets and towesl, stains down the walls on the carpets. Only positive is they let us have 2 nights knocked off our reservation and but charged us for the one night that we checked in. We moved to the marriott across the road, which was much nicer. Wouldn't stay in the days inn Athens if they paid me.

Cons: cleanliness of rooms, smell in rooms
Location: Great location to downtown Athens
Okay hotel for the price, could use some updating

Much nicer if much cleaner

Posted Mar 26, 2014
Pros: Proximity
Cons: Please clean the bathroom
Location: Downtown Athens is close. As near as I could tell, you can drink or listen to music in downtown.
Fine. Many towels - that's a bonus I'm not a clean freak, but I wouldn't take my family here. Cleaning things is nice.

Hotel was just fine for the cost.

Posted Mar 14, 2014
Pros: Price effective
Needed a place at last minute to go to Athens for NewDawg orientation. Had not planned on spending the night before but plans changed and found this with adjoining rooms for a good price as an online deal only.

Low quality for a high price

Posted Mar 13, 2014
Both the interior and exterior of the hotel was pretty rough. The whole place had an unclean feel to it and our room smelled. We would have been better off staying in a hotel outside Athens since the prices there are ridiculous.

Hotel near University

Posted Feb 24, 2014
Room was not as clean as we would like -- cigarette holes in blanket even though it was a nonsmoking room, stains on sheets, very grimy carpet.

Cheap but old

Posted Feb 9, 2014
The hotel is close to UGA campus. The price is reasonable, but its facilities and condition are old.

What we needed.

Posted Feb 9, 2014
We weren't looking for anything fancy. All we needed was a clean room, with comfortable beds for a family. Days in provided what we expected.

Nice, But Could Be Improved

Posted Feb 9, 2014
Pros: The price and location.
Cons: The beds were a little too firm; they need to at least provide pillow top beds.
It was obvious that the bed sheets had not been changed from the last guest's stay; we didn't discover this until we went to bed late. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the breakfast bar was good.
