“Pricey - But Worth Every Cent”

Hotel was elegant, sparkling clean and modern, great location, very nice breakfast, and wonderful staff. They spoke very good English (which was a concern for us), and were very helpful and accommodating. Eating dinner on the rooftop, looking at the Acropolis lit up, is priceless!

“It's where I would stay the next time...”

We loved the Electra Palace. We were there for a week and will definitely stay there again if we get back to Athens. The staff was exceptional, the breakfast was very good and the location was great.

“Perfect Athen's Location”

The breakfast buffet is a feast - eggs, omlets, bacon, sausages, the best yogurt, crossaints..etc. I plan to stay at the hotel again when I visit Athens again.

“Great Spot!”

Superb location for all of Athens. Clean comfortable rooms. In-house restaurant somewhat ordinary, but very adequate. Walk to the Acropolis, walk to shopping and markets, walk to subway for more distant sites. Concierge was great with help and advice. Stayed for a week and took lots of sidetrips.Would return in a heartbeat!

“Will go back”

This Hotel is located in the heart of Plaka district and in walking distance to many local attractions. The flea market is less than 100 yards and inspite of some comments about safety, we found the flea market to be safe, very interesting with good local cuisine and good prices on souvenirs. Electra Palace is located on a narrow one way street but in walking distance to major roads for mass transportation. Taxi's are available in front of the hotel. Hotel is kept clean and for most part the staff were friendly (Unfortunatly some were not). The rooms were very clean and the housekeeping was very good. Similar to comments from other travellers, the air conditioner in our room did not work efficiently. However leaving the balcony door open brought in some cooler air late at night. Do not worry, the doors have a special hinge to tilt the door such that it provides ventilation but cannot be opened from outside. The full hot american breakfast buffet was excellent. Wait staff were very helpfull. We did not get a chance to eat at the restaurant in the fourth floor, but ate at the second restaurant at the lobby level. Even though the prices were on the higher side, food was good and the wait staff modified the menu to suite our needs. Overall, our stay of 5 nights at Electra Palace was very nice and comfortable. I will definitely stay there again!

“Excellent choice in the Plaka”

Located in the Plaka, this was a very nice hotel with a beautiful rooftop swimming pool for the summer. Very nice garden for afternoon coffee as well. Plaka is the greatest location, a short walk from the major attractions and the best shopping.

“Best Location”

The location of Electra Palace Hotel Athens was perfect - close to everything. The hotel was modern and clean. Rooms were small by American standards but large for the Plaka district. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

“Fabulous location, family friendly, would stay there again.”

The hotel was as described & acurate from pictures. The staff were very welcoming & helpful & we found the hotel clean & comfortable. The trip was a present for my husband's 40th & we were travelling with our 4yr old son, we could not have been happier with the hotel. The views from the roof terrace were particularly spectacular. It was in an ideal location, very safe & we could walk around the surrounding area with our 4yr old son in the evening with no concerns.

“great location”

The hotel is most impressive when walking into it because of the flooring and other lobby accoutrements. The complementary breakfast is outstanding! What separates this hotel from others is the LOCATION! It is in the very heart of the Plaka District. Also, you are within a very short walking distance to the Agoura as well as the Acropolis. The only drawback is the Front Desk Staff who are not very accomodating. One additional positive...The nighttime bartender. He is most intereting and concocted a hot drink with honey, lemon, and host of alcoholic beverages that stopped an horrific cough that I acquired through travel.
