Lovely hotel but terrible areaPosted Jun 2, 2014
The hotel was very nice with quirky decor. Breakfast was lovely and staff were friendly. Nothing bad to say about the hotel really except the location. It's right off of Omonia square and is not a place to visit at night. We stayed indoors on the first evening and only went out during the day. I would not recommend this to anyone who would like to walk around at night.

Excellent hotel full of lovely staffPosted May 12, 2014
Pros: Lots to love about this hotel, including very good value for money.
Cons: Storage space in the bedrooms. A bit mean at replenishing soap, shampoo etc
Location: Very central, only 10 mins walk to Monistiraki. The open top sight seeing bus stops just near the front door.
I would happily stay here again. The staff are especially helpful and charming, the rooms are fun and quirky although storage space is limited, and the location is excellent. Great value and the breakfast is also amazing!

Not so grandPosted Sep 25, 2011
The website promises fun in a four star environment. In reality, this is a somewhat run down three star hotel with tiny cramped rooms. It is a bit of a walk to all the attractions that most visitors want to see. They advertised a pool...it is several blocks away at a sister hotel. We left our luggage with them after check out and before leaving to Piraeus. There was a 3G devise in my computer bag that was missing when I got the bag back and an app on the computer that was not there when I left it. Couldn't prove anything, so I was stuck with the loss. We stayed somewhere else when we returned to Athens two weeks later, and were much happier.

Pretty convenient although immediate area a little dody at nightPosted Aug 10, 2011
Decent hotel - if a little characterless. Good breakfast. We liked the area - and the market nearby. A pretty manageable walk to the sites.

A very nice boutique hotel convenient to Plakka and MonastirikiPosted Aug 9, 2011
We enjoyed this hotel quite a bit. While the immediate neighborhood (Omonia Square) wasn't that exciting, the hotel is only about a 10-12 minute walk to the Plakka and Monostiriki neighborhoods, where there are great shops, restaurants, and night life. The hotel was very comfortable, and the staff very accommodating and eager to please. The breakfast, included in the room price, was also good; while it was a buffet, it had a nice selection of pastries, meats, cheeses, eggs, and fresh fruit. We would recommend this hotel and would certainly return to it.

"Fantastic! Great location, welcoming, stylish and fun"Posted Aug 6, 2011
Despite what some have said about Omonia square at the top of the road the hotel is extremely well located in this bustling part of town. One change on the metro and a short walk and we were there making it one of the easiest hotels to find and as it turned out a short walk away from the centre of Athens. The hotel was very well managed, clean and beautifully decorated and the staff did everything to make our stay as easy and comfortable as possible; they catered for all our requests and always with a beaming smile. The staff clearly take pride in their work and want to do everyhthing to make their guests feel welcome and relaxed. The room was well maintained everyday with clean towels, robes and slippers even when it wasn't requested. We had access to the roof top pool and bar in their sister hotel, the Classical imperial which was again a short walk away and provided much relief at the end of a busy, hot day. The roof gave us fantastic views over the city with an amazing view of the acropolis. this along with a generous happy hour policy made meant we enjoyed many a pleasant evening after the wealth of adventures this amazing city has to offer. seriously if you are going to athens and want something not necessarily traditional but a little bit different and very special, this is the hotel for you. Thank you so much to all the staff at the Classical baby Grand- you were wonderful.

Great location, good servicePosted Jul 31, 2011 on Hotels.com
We are a group of four girls, the hotel nicely provided two connected rooms. Very friendly staff. Location fairly close to many tourist sights. Neighbourhood seems somehow rough, but we feel safe to walk around after sunset.

Lovely, fun hotel in a scary neighborhoodPosted Jul 30, 2011 on Hotels.com
Once inside the Classical Baby Grand, I was completely charmed by the whimsical decor and the very helpful staff. The breakfast was really good. It's walking distance to the Acropolis and right near a metro station. On the other hand...taking a taxi in at night, we saw hookers 1 block from the hotel and drug deals immediately beside. In the daytime, junkies sleep in doorways in the immediate vicinity. A 5-minute walk takes you to a part of town with a better feel. I think that's why you get 4-star facilities and treatment at such a good price.
