“Wonderful roof terrace”

An excellent hotel a stone's throw from the Parthenon. Staff and service was excellent. Would certainly recommend it and would go back myself.

“I love the Jacuzzi!”

Everything was so good except the Wireless Internet. They give you a login ID and password for 24 hours for $7. But each time I restart my computer there was a problem with the account. The jaccuzi with the view of Acropolis was perfect. I recommend using it at night!

“Got it just right!”

The Herodian has got ot completely right, the staff are polite and attentive without being pushy or in your face, the communal areas of the hotel are comfortable, bright and open, the food at breakfast and in the hotel restaurant is fantastic and gives a choice of Greek and international dishes. The hotel is located at the foot of the Acropolis a block away from the New Acropolis Museum, everything is walking distance, it was easy to return to the hotel during the day to change clothesor drop things off. During our visit to Athens the weather was quite cold, there were big squashy sofas and a log fire every night, the rooms were quite small without many extras, but the communal areas more than made up for it.

Excellent central location. Clean and comfortable hotel. Staff speak very good english on the whole and are very helpful.

“Depends on the room . . .”

I really like this hotel. My first night however, my assigned room was small as a large closet with a bowed in bed, stuffy, with a smoky dinge. The only ventilation available on the first floor in March (Air Conditioning OFF for the season) was to open the sliding glass door which went out to an open space that went up the height of the hotel. Floor 2 is the "smoking" floor, but in Greece, people smoke wherever they want. And opening the sliding glass door meant that all I got was smoky air, and total open vulnerability to anyone wishing to enter my room. The safe didn't want to work either. Staff was VERY helpful, however. I was reassigned a room on thrid floor for the night. And ultimately given a 4th floor room my second night with a nice view and open balcony that allowed for lots of fresh air. Staff was helpful with many other questions and service needs as well. This is a beautiful hotel, well maintained and perfectly situated. I would go there again in a heartbeat. But beware which floor and room your in, unless you smoke, in which case about anywhere will be just fine.

“Excellent Vacations with the support of a great hotel!”

Excellent Hotel. Location is top notch! We arrived using the metro from the airport, and did the proper switch on Sintagma w/o problems. Hotel accommodations were superb. The only downside to the hotel is the extremely expensive wifi service. Get close to run 204, 304, 404, and you will have free wifi from the bar next to the hotel.

“BEST LOCATION ATHENS”

THE HERODION IS IN A FANTASTIC LOCATION OVERLOOKING THE ACROPOLIS. TO SIT ON THE ROOFTOP TERRACE AT NIGHT OVERLOOKING THE ACROPOLIS LIGHT UP IS WONDERFUL. WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF THE PROMENADE (BASE OF THE ACROPOLIS) LOADS OF LOVELY SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS. LOCATED NEXT TO THE MUSEUM IS ANOTHER BONUS. HOTEL BREAKFAST EXCELLENT. ROOMS A LITTLE ON THE SMALL SIDE BUT LOVELY AND CLEAN AND PERFECTLY ADEQUATE FOR A SHORT BREAK. SIT IN THE HOT TUB OVERLOOKING THE ACROPOLIS IS AWSOME. WOULD THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND THE 3 ISLANDS BOAT TRIP. WONDERFUL TRIP STOPPING AT HYDRA, POROS AND AEGINA. ATHENS HAS A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY ATMOSPHERE, AND YOU DONT FEEL YOU ARE IN A CITY BUT A WONDERFUL WARM FRIENDLY RESORT WITH THE ADDED BONUS OF ALL THE CULTURE. THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND THE CITY AND THE HOTEL.

“Great Hotel”

This hotel was great. Located 5 minutes from the Acropolis, staff was helpful & friendly. We were able to walk to all the sights, close top Metro. Located near many nice restaurant. Hotel room was not to small, bed was great and the room was very clean. We would go back again.
