Friendly hotel with view of the ParthenonPosted Aug 17, 2014
We were so warmly welcomed, not just upon arrival, but each time we went through the lobby. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. We had dinner the first night up on the rooftop restaurant and the hostess was delightful, taking pictures of everyone with the glowing Parthenon in the background. The hotel is located within walking distance of the Acropolis and museum, the Plaka, and the hop-on hop-off bus stop. We were given lots of helpful tips from the front desk staff about where to go and what to do. There was a problem with the Wi-Fi in the room and the tech people worked diligently to fix it. An outstanding experience all around!

Hotel with a spectacular view of the AcropolisPosted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: The rooftop gardens and bar/restaurant, the proximity to the sites, the metro and restaurants.
Cons: Air conditioning
The hotel was in the perfect location - steps from the new Acropolis museum and in close proximity to the metro stop, all restaurants and main attractions in Athens. The building is old with a renovation which has a lovely lobby, library sitting area and lovely glass covered atrium for dining. the best feature of the hotel is the rooftop gardens and bar and restaurant area with unparalleled view of the Acropolis and other sites which are lighted at nighttime. There is a jacuzzi with a view on a lower floor as well. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and friendly and wait staff at rooftop bar were very attentive. The a/c didnt work in our room. Management promptly moved us to another room. This room was on a low floor and had no balcony and looked out onto an interior wall and was even smaller. We later learned during the night that the a/c in this room was also not working. The fan was just blowing and no cool air was coming out. I believe the system must be old, out of coolant or just not enough capacity to cool this section of hotel. The management refused to offer us any discount for the problem with had with the a/c. We had to leave our hotel at 4:30 a.m. to catch an early flight and would miss breakfast. After I asked several times, management agreed to pack a breakfast box for us and were gracious enough to serve us coffee at 4:00 a.m. in the lobby. However, this doesn't compensate for the lack of working a/c during August in Athens.

Perfect location. Great staffPosted Aug 6, 2014
Although the rooms aren't huge, the king beds are enormous and comfortable with a great selection of pillows. Request a room with a balcony. The view from the rooftop restaurant is incredible, the service is fantastic and the food good. Try the Greek salad. Great location. Be sure to try a restaurant in the plaka. Lovely to stroll around in at night.

Awesome location; amazing view; great hotelPosted Jul 28, 2014
We loved this hotel! It was our last hotel in a 3 week trip around Italy, Malta and then Greece. We saved the best for last. Staff was great, location is amazing (literally right beside the Acropolis) and the views of the Acropolis from this hotel are breathtaking. I highly recommend eating at the hotel restaurant on the 5th floor. Amazing food and again, breathtaking view. Hotel room was basic, but had everything you could need/want. Comfortable and affordable. Definitely recommend!

Lovely hotel convenient for centre of AthensPosted Jul 23, 2014
Cons: Nothing that we noticed
We only stayed one night en route to the Islands, but our stay couldn't have been better. The staff were extremely helpful; we had a fab meal on the roof overlooking Acropolis late at night and a great breakfast the following morning - all for a very reasonable price. We can't wait to be able to go back and stay longer!

Pros: Great location, convenient to the Acropolis.
Location: This is in the heart of the tourist district and right by the Acropolis museum.
The hotel was okay, but definitely not what I consider a 4 star. The reception, breakfast, and housekeeping staff were pleasant and responsive. However, the bar and Point staff were disappointing and borderline incompetent. It took 20 minutes to get a Coke from the bar and we were told twice to wait another 5 minutes. While we were there another guest went ballistic and started yelling because he had been waiting almost an hour for 3 drinks and a brownie. We left but could still hear them from the stairs on the 2nd floor. Our waiter at the Point restaurant wanted us to order right when we were seated, before offering any information on specials or asking for a drink order. Once we received our food he wouldn't come back to our table. We finally got his attention and asked for a dessert menu. He handed us a Greek menu and flashlight and disappeared. After playing with the flashlight for a while we flagged down another waiter and were able to ask about the dessert items on the menu and place our order. I ordered a digestif at the same time because I wasn't sure when I would get the chance again. That was the last we saw of a waiter. I had to go to the hostess to request the bill.

Excellent HotelPosted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Superb location behind the Acropolis Museum and a lovely roof terrace looking onto the Acropolis. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant.
Cons: Air conditioning quite noisy but that is being picky.
Location: Excellent location, close to Acropoli Metro station and within easy reach of all tourist attractions.
Thoroughly enjoyed this break in Athens. Hotel was excellent, brilliant weather and Athens is wonderful.
