Holiday Inn Athens-University Area

I had a good feeling about this hotel. The location was perfect close enough for UGa Conference Center. The check-in was quick. There was plenty of parking and staff were pleasant. I stayed one night. Unfortunately, there were several noisy teen-agers occupying several rooms next mine. They were pretty vocal and noisy. I waited until 11 PM and called the front desk. Within minutes of my call the noise stopped completely. Kudos to Hotel staff. They called me in the morning and asked he whether I had a good night sleep. I appreciated their gesture. I will recommend it to my friends.

The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. I would love to stay in this hotel again.

We stay at this hotel at least once a year. It's close to UGA and shopping. It also has a nice lounge and restaurant.

The hotel was in the perfect spot to be able to walk to events on the UGA campus as well as downtown. Parking was never a problem and everyone was extremely friendly.

We needed a room at late notice on graduation weekend and were happy to find something at any price. The Holiday Inn charged a premium price on this high demand weekend, which is reasonable, because I'd rather have any room at an exhorbitant rate than no room at a reasonable rate, but this really is a moderate priced hotel masquerading this weekend as an expensive hotel, but not quite pulling it off. Still, free hot breakfast and internet is helpful, and the staff was very nice. The room was small, the air conditioner noisy, cleanliness at best fair, but much better than a park bench.

Staff at check in and check out are not up to the task!!!

The staff was very accommodating. We actually had reservations with another hotel and they were not easy to work with. When I called Expedia to explain the problem, they got on the phone and helped us!

This is one of my favorite hotels in Athens, GA. The only complaint I had was the slamming of doors in the hallways early in the morning but that was just rude people I guess!

The outward appearance of the hotel is fine. With the exception of the pillows, the actual sleeping room was OK and appeared clean. The Holiday Inn standard pillow is a "clump of lumps." For today's traveler this is totally unacceptable. The hair in the tub and on the toilet lid was what I found totally unacceptable. My travel plans took me to another Holiday Inn in another city the following night. More lumpy pillows and more hair. Yep! in the tub and this time on the toilet seat. Consistent? Yes! Acceptable? No! Will definitely think twice about staying at another Holiday Inn.

Had a pleasant visit at this hotel, the hallway was kinda stinky like smoke and seemed slightly dirty but once I got in room, it was very nice and clean!
