“Holiday Inn Athens, GA. Improved with Renovations”

Hotel was nice and clean and the front desk folks were all very nice. The hotel renovations are a major improvement with the restaurant and the exterior. Nice job. Plastic piece on the AC unit was bad. It shot the cold air right at your face while in the bed.

“Dirtdawg”

I normally stay at the Holiday Inn when I travel to Athens, Georgia. The service has always been good and the rooms are nice. I do prefer staying in the main building.

“Good location to explore Athens downtown!”

It's clean, and wonderful location. I had a good time here. And they have very good chicken wings/sweet tea!!

“good location, ok room”

I was expecting this hotel to be much nicer. It was great to be downtown, but the hotel was disappointing. The indoor pool was nice to have, but the ceiling was all rotting out and missing tiles. So there were big holes of what looked like leaks in the ceiling over the pool. Not attractive in the least, and the pool water was freezing!!! The hallways and lobby were all remodeled and beautiful, as well as the grill in the hotel. But when I opened the door to the actual room, it was a bit bland and didn't reflect the rest of the hotel's upgrades. I couldn't find a spare outlet to plug my phone into, since they had a ton of lamps as an attempt to bright up the dark room. there was too much furniture for such a small space, but the bathroom was nice and clean. For an old hotel, it was nice. It was definitely a good location and a nice staff. The price seemed a bit high for the room I stayed in.

“Food Service was unimpressive”

Great hotel, but a lot of problems with food service. I heard a lot of complaining from my colleagues.

“Screaming in the room next door”

Screaming and fighting in the room next door - no sleep at all. Called front desk, but it continued.
