Pretty Decent :)

Generally quite a nice hotel. The receptionist was accomodating and happy to assist us with things. The room was quite spacious, though the bathroom was not as expansive. Never quite figured out the aircon/heating.

Comfortable and convenient

Posted Jun 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
My stay in Athens has been comfortable thanks to Holiday Suites. The hotel is well-situated in a quiet and clean area of town. It's 5 minutes walking to metro station and just a few steps to convenient store and cafe where you can grab snacks and coffee. You can also use its sibling hotel Crowne Plaza nearby for a swimming pool and gym. The hotel also offers free wifi in the room. Breakfast may be small but tasty. Next time in Athens I'll Definitely come back to here.

EXCELLENT HOTEL IN QUIET CONVENIENT LOCATION

Posted Jun 22, 2013
Pros: Staff, room space/facilities and location
Cons: That we didn't stay longer
Location: Quiet residential, but with very fast access to central Athens, airport and nearby Crowne Plaza Hotel's facilities
Have read mixed but generally favourable reviews here and elsewhere. Ignore them - Holiday Suites Athens is excellent. The style is continental mid-1990s - so not modern boutique. But, everything is well maintained and spotlessly clean. We had a Junior Apartment Suite - which was huge... bed and living areas are both large and separated by a low opaque glass screen. Super king bed and huge dressing table. Living area with sofa, chair and coffee table, 'office' desk with fax (including paper) and comms connections. Small dining area with large table/chairs and kitchinette unit (with fridge, kettle, coffee filter machine and single ring hob plus glasses, cutlery, pans and plates - coffee, tea, milk etc provided and small local shops, cleaners, pharamacies, bakers, restaurants, mini-mart are at either end of street for services and provisions). Large bathroom. Masses of cupboard and drawer space. Safe, iron, etc. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Since its part of InterContinental Hotels you have full access to facilities at nearby Crowne Plaza (3 min walk) including pool, gym, bars, etc. Holiday Suites Athens is located in a quiet (no noise whatsoever) tree-lined residential street at most 5mins walk from a station on the main Metro linking the airport with central Athens (3 stops; 5mins). Also with excellent bus routes (including airport bus) and an easy walk to some of the main museums and Mount Lycabettus. We'll be staying again.

wifi does not work, poor breakfast

Posted Jun 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
very friendly stuff, but the rooms have very old furniture, no real windows, and the breakfast is well below average given the amazing Greek food. Most importantly, wifi only works in the lobby, and even there it is a painful system to always enter the same LONG password every day. Stay away.

Excellent for the price. The Crowne Plaza Hotel swimming pool is small and has no places to layout - but its great that the Holiday Suites allows you to use it.

Spacious suites

The hotel is dated, however it is spotless, suites are large, facilities are good. In a good area, safe at night, close to metro and some nice little restaurants.
