This hotel was good, and the staff were mostly helpful. I arrived in Athens really late at night, so I caught a cab from the airport, which was 60 euros. Ugh. But, it was cool, clean, and near the port (though still a 30 min walk from my ferry dock). Good for a place to sleep if you plan to walk in the am to a ferry.

You get what you pay for here, but the location is outstanding. You can walk from the main ferry terminal to the hotel and then 500m up the street to the yacht club, restaurants and fun district of the port. The whole port area is a bit dirty, and so it this street, but once you get over the hill to the luxury yacht club it is spectacular. Don't miss the museum 200m up the street, well worth a visit at $3.

“Good for the money, but...”

It is very important to recognize that Piraeus is not Athens. It is literally like a different city, with Athens winning hands down. I booked this hotel for two reasons: 1) low cost, 2) proximity to port. In the end, I did not require the latter reason, as I did the 1 day cruise which only picks up and drops off in Athens. Bottom line: stay in Athens. The room itself was quite clean, the fridge was cold, and the wi-fi in the rooms was absolutely magnificent. The bathroom, however, was old and felt unclean. The toilet struggled to flush, and the floor flooded each time I had a shower. Overall the reception were friendly, and my stay was pleasant, but if I could choose again, I would pay more and stay in Athens (syntagma square area)

“Not hot water, hard to find hotel”

While the hotel was comfortable enough, there was no hot water in the whole hotel. After traveling for more than 24 hours to get there, a hot bath would have been welcome. Also, it's very hard to find. At the train station, the taxi driver said it was only 2 blocks away and wouldn't take us. In fact, it was about 15 or 20 blocks away. We asked 5 different people and got 5 different answeres as to the location. It took us over an hour dragging bags thru the streets to find it. Even a policeman in the area didn't know where it was. Taxi's in this town won't take you unless you have an appointment in advance. We saw a line of 20 taxi's and they were all "private" meaning they were waiting on an appointment.
