“Luxury and Convenience”

Have previously next door at Grand Bretagne and this one is even better. The staff kindly upgraded us to a King Suite - fantastic room. The restaurant has stunning Acropolis view - and the breakfast buffet is the best I have encountered. Swimming pool tiny, also has suana and steam room - thankfully nobody else wanted to use them. This is a truly luxurious hotel, right in the centre of Athens. Fantastic!

“Best View in Athens”

We loved the hotel and the location was great. We walked to almost every site and strolled the streets everynight. One way you stroll to the hot, expensive area and the other way to the old city for cheaper but interesting things. We would definitely go back to the hotel. It was perfect from start to finish.

Very nice rooms, friendly staff and a nice location. We enjoyed the King George for the two nights we spent in Athens.

“Excellent location, excellent service”

Centrally situated on Parliament Square, the Classical King George Palace Hotel has an excellent level of decor and cleanliness. The staff are attentive and polite throughout. The facilities are generally good, although the list of room amenities on expedia included a DVD player so I packed a load of DVDs to watch, only to discover my room didn't have this facility and the local hotel information doesn't claim that it does - never mind, got lots of reading done instead. Breakfast isn't included in the room rate and it's eye-wateringly expensive, although if you can get a seat on the balcony, there is a view of the acropolis that is priceless. Athens is a wonderful city and this is a great hotel.

“Wonderful”

One of the best hotels that I have been to in regards to luxury. If you are willing to spend money and stay in a luxury hotel then it is a wonderful place to go. In the heart of the city and a walk from restaurants and shopping area. For a real treat have dinner at the hotel restaurant over looking the city and enjoy the 5 star service, food and view.

“So nice, we loved it!”

Although the King George II was kind of hard to find (as there are two streets in Athens with the same name), once we found it - we were very pleased. (Hint: Look for the "square" on your map). The room was nice, with excellent air conditioning and the staff was amazing. This was our 4th city on our honeymoon & we booked all 5 star luxury hotels. This was one of our favorites. The room was not super big, but it was decent sized, with a flat screen tv, large marble bathroom, white down comforter & nice white sheets. We'd recommend this place in a heartbeat! It was right near the major shopping, restaurants, espresso bars, etc (and I mean like a 2-5 minute walk). We'll definitely stay here again! Plus, we got a GREAT rate through expedia - around 250 euros.

“Great Athens Hotel”

If you can afford it, this is a great hotel to use as a base whilst holidaying in Athens. Staff are very helpful, especially the doormen (brilliant). Super breakfast and the breakfast staff were great.

“Athen's Best Hotel!”

If I knew how good this hotel was going to be, I would have cut short my time on the islands and stayed longer at the Classical King George Palace. The location is in the best part of Athens. Right in the heart, next to Syndagma, their parliament house, near Plaka, Monastiraki, shopping district and ofcourse the Acropolis. Staff were very friendly and most helpful. We were "blown away" by our luxurious room, and the little things like the bed turning, complimentary chocolates and wine on arrival. Wonderful view of the Parthenon from their restaurant too. Extremely good value for money! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Athens.

“Great Location”

From the moment we arrived and greeted by the doorman until the day we left, the staff made us feel comfortable and at home. The renovation is beautiful, a combination of new and classic designs and the bar next door is uber cool. The location in Syntagma Square can't be beat, you are in the heart of Athens and everything is easily walkable.
