“Fantastic for the price”

The Hotel King Jason is a very nice hotel for the reasonable price I paid. Reception were very welcoming and helpful; when I had a problem with the TV they investigated straight away. It turned out that it was working OK - the only drawback is that there was no red dot to show 'standby' so I wasn't sure if it was off entirely or on standby. The area is not the best, but I never found it threatening, and it is convenient for Larisa railway station, where I arrived into (10 mins on foot), and also only about 15 mins' walk to the bars and restaurants of Syntagma Square. The room was a good size and had quiet and efficient air-con, and also a small balcony with views over the city sprawl. I would definitely stay here again.

“Great Hotel”

My husband and I spent ten days at the King Jason in July 2006. It was a great hotel especially for the price. The rooms are clean and well stocked with toiletries as well as a refrigerator so you can bring food back to the hotel. The breakfast in the morning (part of the cost of the room) was excellent. In place of the usual continental breakfast, the hotel provided a full breakfast including bread, meat, eggs, cereal, yogurt, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. The staff was a bit resesrved but helpful. Above all the room was quiet all the time and we heard no noise from outside. One hint is that when you get to your room, be sure to 'plug' in your room key to the 'socket' near the door. This is the only way to get the air conditioning (ten minute delay) and electricity to work.

“A good hotel”

The rooms are very clean. The breakfast that is provided is excellent. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood appears to be very rundown, but, we walked from the metro station late at night and had no problems. We would stay there again.

“Stayed there twice already”

It was a nice hotel. It is in a kind of grimy area, but it is most definitely a safe area. It is an easy close walk to the metro. It was reasonably priced too.

We rented 2 rooms for our family. The hotel is maintained very well. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good.The area that the hotel is located in seemed a little rundown, but many parts of Athens are. We were out walking to and from the subway all hours and never had any negative encounters with anyone. In fact, we stopped and chatted with many of the people and they were all very friendly aand eager to help with directions or reccomendations for things to do and see.

“Fair hotel for the price, dodgy area”

Our first impression of the hotel was not good for one simple reason - the area. The entire area is either little india/pakistan as there were a number of pakistani fast food restaurants and shops. The men were quite intimidating although we had no specific issues. That being said, we felt safe at all times and the food was inexpensive. In the morning we were delighted as Omonia Square is about a 7-8 minute walk. The hotel itself is well maintained. It was vey clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were very clean although the beds were rock hard and took some time to get used to. Overall, for the price we would reccommend the hotel. The picky need not visit as the area is a definate turn off.

“not in a good area”

At first I was upset about this hotel mainly because of the location. My daughter and I were on the alert the second we came out of the hotel. Especially the men in the area seem intimidating, at least for women. Inside, it was fine, although the first night our bathroom flooded when we let water out of the bathtub, and the floor was covered with very unpleasant water. This is not really a three-star hotel.

“Ahtens experience”

The neighborhood was scary. The hotel was fine but we were afraid to go out at night.

“Athens slum”

The room was fine, the breakfast was wonderful. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was frightening. If you stay here, do not leave at night without a taxi. The sidewalks around the hotel reek of urine. The most convenient walk to Central Market or to Monistiraki Square take you through one of the scariest streets I can imagine. I would not return to this hotel again without an armed bodyguard.

“Roach hotel”

People I'm sorry to write this about this hotel but this hotel is surrounded by a bunch of people doing drugs, needles stuck in there arm walking around police driving by and not doing nothing about. What of kind hotel is build in the worst part of Athena, please what ever you do stay out of this hotel and the city of ommina, this made Greece not what I thought Greece was so sad. No wifi , one minute it's working the next minute it's not working and the wifi only works in the lobby not in your room. The people that work there always trying to sell you something, like there is tour buses and other things. The tv in the room the size of a basketball no balcony , bed sheets had writing or red dye on them , hair stuck on the head rest from other people. What they show in the pictures totally different from you get . I would not stay here if you paid me to stay there.
