Roadside stay.Posted Jan 16, 2014
Pros: Closeness to the University and the dining areas.
Cons: The safety features and have the room preheated for someone that had a scheduled arrival time.
Location: The movie theater is across the street and there are several restaurants near by. Ohio University is only a few mile away.
When I got to the hotel the hotel manager was friendly and efficient at getting me quickly to my room. When I walked into my room I noticed that the temperature was so cold I could see my breath. I turned thermostat up on the wall and after two hours the temperature still did not change. I was not informed at the beginning that the thermostat did not work and that a small heater (that looked like a air conditioner) was in the very back of the room and needed to be turned on. The sheets were clean and the bed comfortable. I worried about the door coming open when the wind increased. I had the chain on the door and with some effort was finally able to get the deadbolt to lock. I would go back because of the low price and my ability to rough it but for those needing pampered, this is not the place for you.

it's an old hotel. Have stayed here before so my expectations were in line. If you just need a place to crash fro a few hours, then it will work.

The room was comfortable enough for the price, but I did not expect to find linens that were stained and a bathtub that was not cleaned. The shower head needs to be replaced as well.

Pros: price and wi fi was fast
Cons: a flatscreen tv would be nice and new pillows
Location: location is great, movie theater and shopping, reastraunts all within 3 minutes and eas to get to OU campus and downtown athens.
room was clean but very outdated , terrible pillows . we just never felt relaxed in this room. we felt like we were sleeping in a basement bedroom that was dated.

For the price, this was fine. This is a 1950's era motel. I needed a place to stay, not to be pampered, and this was quite acceptable.

Room was older but clean. TV Volume was controlled and set too low. Otherwise a good value

Don't Stay Here!Posted Jul 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
This place was an absolute dump! We had reserved a non smoking room, and the room we were given was marked just that, but upon opening the door, it REEKED of cigarette smoke. We requested a different room, and upon walking to that room, the area was strewn with litter. At that point, we left. Do not, do not, do not stay here!

Decent place, not bad but not fabulous. Minimal amenities.
