“Great bargain!”

For the price, you can't beat it. As for the atmosphere: Just like Route 66!

“Good basic accommodations”

If it bothers you to stay in a room that looks like it was designed in the 50's then I guess you might have a problem staying here. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable, there were adequate towels, the shower worked fine, the hot water was plentiful, there was a microwave and fridge, the internet worked, the room had no extreme odors, and there plenty of available electrical outlets in case you bring electronic "toys" to the room. You may want to bring an electrical adapter because there are no 3 prong (grounded) electrical outlets. I always have one with me so it was no problem. There is also plenty of access to businesses and restaurants.

“Knights Inn Athens”

The door of the room was a particularly big issue. There was a crack at the bottom open almost an inch at one point. Had to put a towel in front of it to avoid feeling gusts of air. Also the curtains seemed to have small holes in them, which might point to a bug infestation (no bugs seen however). Room was pleasant everywhere else though; nice bed, passable bathroom, etc. Room was cheap so that definitely made up for anything wrong. Service was very nice, lost my keys and the staff was very helpful and quickly made me a new set of keys. Would stay again.

“Clean rooms, but outdated”

Clean but very outdated......REALLY outdated! I haven't seen wood paneling in hotel rooms for over 30 years.....

“Avoic”

Hot water quit during showers. Heater so loud it woke me up every time it came on. Housekeeper failed to make bed, took used towels but did not replace them with clean towels.

“Wish I had stayed at Holiday Inn for a little more”

John F Kennedy stayed there when he was a Senator, and it hasn't been updated since then (except the carpet)

“N/A”

The hotel needs to updated with new lodging features and larger bathroom. There was no hot water in the morning. There was a frig and continental breakfast available.

“Disgusting hotel!”

It was like staying in a dirty gas station restroom. Lobby smelled like mothballs. Room was smelly and musty. Mattresses were ripped along sides. Floor was sloped. Overall condition was disgusting.
