Good hotel in decent location

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Location, roof top view of the Acropolis and the jacuzzi bath
Cons: The cost of using the hotel wifi was a ridiculous price. Service at the roof top bar; staff were often talking to each other rather than serving.
Location: The hotel is ideally located near the Omonia metro station, which is only a few stops away from the main sights.
The hotel is well located (near Omonia metro station). The roof top bar/pool/lounge area is nice with a great view of the Acropolis; the only downside was that there frequently were not enough sun loungers and the pool is quite small (but it's adequate for a couple of days in Athens). The room was comfortable and the jacuzzi bath/shower was awesome. However I have never stayed in a hotel that does not provide free wifi - the cost of using the wifi at the Melia was ridiculous (it was cheaper to use mobile roaming).

Lovely hotel!

The hotel itself was lovely, clean and modern. The skybar restaurant and room service was exceptional. Personally the breakfast is very over-priced for what you receive, poor quality.

Great hotel

We spent three nights here. Location is great being only 20mins walk from Syntagma and Plaka. Facilities are good and the roof top pool is a big draw, lovely in the baking heat. As others have said, sign up to the rewards programme and you get free wifi in your room. Will come back again.

Nice hotel despite the surrounding area

Posted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: The comfortable lounge, good air conditioning throughout, its general ambiance and clean and eye-pleasing decor and furnishings.
Cons: inclusive in-room refreshment facilities; broader bar/cafe opening hours; increased reception capacity and staffing levels.
Location: Immediate run-down area compensated however by its central location and proximity to Parthenon, Blaka, Monasteraki etc and public transport
The hotel was comfortable and good to retire to after a busy day traversing Athens and the environment. We regarded it as a good value for money that would have been enhanced by in-room refreshment facilities. It was, additionally centrally and conveniently located near public transport facilities

Nice Hotel in Athens.

Nis hotel in Athens. Close to metro station and not too far from Syntagma square. The continental breakfast is included, and that is pretty convinient when you want to leave early for the day. The room was clean and spacious and the hotel staff were quite friendly. This hotel has a nice quality/price ratio and I would certainly consider going back there.

Very nice hotel, awesome baths/showers

Posted Jun 18, 2014
Pros: - Jacuzzi shower / baths - Rooftop pool
Cons: - Had issues paying by credit card at the pool bar and Mondo cafe
Location: Many things are within walking distance--Syntagma Sq, Omonia Sq, Archaeological Museum, National Gardens, Parliament Bldg and Tomb of Unknown Soldier
Booked three rooms for a family vacation. Arrived very early AM--rooms were not available, but reception staff was very accomodating. Rooms were ready around standard check-in time and conveniently located on the same floor--quite spacious, with a lot of closet room and large windows. Well equipped--in room safe, mini-bar, reasonable speed WiFi (free for Melia members). The highlight of the rooms is the jacuzzi bath with multiple jets in the shower cabin--very relaxing! We also enjoyed the rooftop pool with Acropolis views, great place to cool off during the warm days in between exploring the city.

Pros: Good rates and good facilities. Central location to Museum and other sights.

Location: National Museum just down the road. Walking distance to the market and flea market. Other transport facilties very handy.
Very happy with hotel and amenities provided. Great view from the rooftop pool to the Acropolis.

My room was upgraded on arrival free of charge. The pool was nice to wait while they cleaned my room. Comfortable bed and easy to find.

Disappointment

Posted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: The roof top pool does have a view of the Acropolis.
Location: The location of the hotel is in a bad area and not safe at night.
Upon arrival to the hotel, we were told that they never received our request for two twin beds. They told us we could have a room that does have two twin beds if we paid 30 euros extra. We refused and then they put us in a smoking room. The room was dirty and there was mold in the shower. I would never stay at this place again.
