Clean, pretty, fantastic food, great service, friendly staff, comfy beds and a welcoming atmosphere, what more could you ask for? note: try the hotel resteraunt, especially the chocolate souffle for desert, I'm drooling just thinking about it!

“Good affordable hotel with high-speed internet - for a price”

Metropolitian Hotel is an excellent business hotel. The rooms are compact but very comfortable. The windows open for fresh air. And high-speed internet is available for a fairly steep price compared to US (20E/day). Good restaurants in the area, and an easy free bus ride to city every hour.

The staff was extremely helpful and the shuttle to and from Athens was wonderful. We used it quite a bit. Everything was excellent- the condition of the room, the gym, the hairdressing salon and the people who worked there couldn't have been kinder. I enjoyed the pool on the rooftop as well.

“Great Hotel”

We had a great experience with this hotel. They had a nice pool on the roof with a great view of the city. They offered a free shuttle to downtown which was perfect. They had a crib for the baby. It would have been nice to have a double or king size bed instead of two singles together. There were some good local restaurants nearby.

Don't forget to go up to the rooftop pool area with your camera. You will be able to see the harbor and the Parthenon. Don't forget to use the hotel's free shuttle to the square...a good starting point to attractions.

Nice hotel and comfortable room. Roof Terrace good for sunbathing with a view of the sea in the distance in one direction and the Acropolis, just about, in the other. Located in a commercial area, just off the main road linking central Athens and the sea. Not much in the immediate vicinity - no supermarkets or much in the way of restaurants. Eating in the hotel pricey. Hotel runs a shuttle service into central Athens but neglected to tell us that on the day we used it - the later return shuttles would not be running due to strike action. Left us stranded in centre and were not particularly helpful in getting us back apart from trying to explain the subway route.

The Metropolitan is a basic hotel and is fine for a night or two on a business trip or an overnight stage on a holiday. Would not recmmend it for a holiday in Athens.

Bit away from city centre but conveniently connected by local bus service. A nice and clean hotel.
