“Only Hotel I'll Stay in Greece”
Overall, the hotel could not have been more perfect for me as a young traveler. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the service was polite and accomodating and the neighbors had a lot of character (if you stay there try to meet Tom, he's a hoot).
I think if I were older I might complain about the size of everything. The elevator is tiny. You're only going to fit one person with a normal luggage load. The shower was small even for a single person and the room fits the bed and not much else. But, for me that was all I needed. I had a 'balcony'/Window I could open up in the mornings and look out into the street and sit on the ledge with a cigarette.
The breakfast in the morning was great! Not American though. It is literally a bunch of different types of bread and a hard boiled egg. As an American I wasn't really satisfied but it was good food and I had more than enough to eat every morning.
I thought this was a great place to stay! We could walk anywhere we wanted in Athens from here. It was less than five minutes from the train station, seven minutes from the Acropolis, close to the government buildings, the flea market, many Orthodox churches, etc... there was a lot to see within walking distance, forget about taking the train anywhere.
The two best things about this hotel were the many restaurants right down the street (beautiful outdoor seating and good food, etc...) and Tom who is literally right outside the entrance:) Hope you get a chance to enjoy!
