Our stay

Posted Oct 22, 2013
Location: We were visiting our grandson, a student at OU. It was close and convenient.
Everyone there was very nice from the girl at the front desk to someone from housekeeping. We got a call from the front deskearly in the evening to check if everything was OK. Also enjoyed receiving USA Today delivered to our door in the AM.

An Athens, Ohio first rate hotel

Posted Sep 24, 2013
Pros: First rate staff and the pumpkin fresh toast!!!
Cons: The difficulty we had in managing luggage on the steps of our floor
We totally enjoyed our first visit to Ohio University to see the campus that captivated our granddaughter. The accommodations, staff, restaurant, and the proximity to the center of campus were outstanding!

Nothing Fancy, but Great Location!

Posted Jul 23, 2013
Good for a family traveling on a budget. Our room slept 4 comfortably and we had a little kitchenette. Really close to the Rainforest cafe, Ed Debevich's and the Rock and Roll McDonald. We could also walk to Navy Pier. It isn't fancy, but it has everything you need,... including FREE Parking!

Nice hotel close to Ohio University campus

Posted Jul 17, 2013
Pros: It is very close to the university, which was helpful as we were there for orientation.
Cons: The room really smelled. If I stay there again, I will have to bring air freshener.
Location: Visit Ohio University
Hotel was nice. The room smelled a bit like it was dirty (maybe the carpets needed to be cleaned?). We enjoyed our breakfast at Cutler's restaurant in the hotel, although I think they were a bit understaffed. Front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful.

Relaxing Place to Stay

The O. U. Inn is a very agreeable venue, nicely located to get to all activities, campus or otherwise, in Athens.

Convenient Location

Posted Jul 2, 2013
Pros: Location
Cons: Price could be a bit more reasonable.
Location: The night spot area would be a pretty long walk from this hotel, but the OU campus is very close.
The Ohio Inn is a very conveniently located hotel very near the campus of Ohio University. There is a nice restaurant located within the hotel, but other places to eat and socialize are a little bit of a distance away. However, you can walk from this hotel to the campus, particularly the athletic facilities. However, the rates are a bit high, but it is the most conveniently located hotel in town. The staff was very helpful and they took some laundry for me and got it back very quickly and everything was done properly.

Nice location but noisy wedding party

Posted Jun 19, 2013
Pros: It is close to the University and in a pretty location.
Cons: Informing guests of things like loud parties that will be heard in rooms.
Location: It is next to the university so close to everything.
There was a wedding with loud music in the courtyard. There was really no way to escape it. They apologized for it. However, I really needed rest and the pounding music was inexcusable. They should inform guests when checking in that this would happen.

great location

Great location. Was able to walk to all in town activities. Booked 2 rooms. 1 room had a stale smokey smell (wish I had packed an air freshener). Sprayed some perfume and that helped a bit. Other room was fine. Bar on main floor nice, bartender made some fine mixed drinks! We did the buffet for breakfast, not sure if they were understaffed or overwhelmed by graduation crowd. Lots of dirty tables and staff seemed to be doing lots of tasks ( seating, serving, picking up). Waitress was polite, but needed to be asked for coffee, table service, and check. Probably hard to get people to work on graduation week!
