great location

Great location. Was able to walk to all in town activities. Booked 2 rooms. 1 room had a stale smokey smell (wish I had packed an air freshener). Sprayed some perfume and that helped a bit. Other room was fine. Bar on main floor nice, bartender made some fine mixed drinks! We did the buffet for breakfast, not sure if they were understaffed or overwhelmed by graduation crowd. Lots of dirty tables and staff seemed to be doing lots of tasks ( seating, serving, picking up). Waitress was polite, but needed to be asked for coffee, table service, and check. Probably hard to get people to work on graduation week!

Cons: I'd say the room was priced a little on the high side.
I highly recommend Ohio University Inn if you are visiting Athens Ohio. Rooms are clean and the staff is pleasant and professional.

On the pricey side, but will stay there again...

Pros: Best location in town, hands down.
Cons: A bit pricey, but very nice.
Location: A landmark!
While its a little on the pricey side, the OU Inn has the nicest rooms in Athens (and I've stayed everywhere but the Hampton Inn) and its location cannot be beat. Whether you are going to a OU sporting event or Campus or Uptown for a night, the short walk to and from the OU Inn is probably the biggest selling point about this place. Its not to say that the rest of the hotel is a slouch, as it is not. Our room was nice and big, with a bay window... Very comfortable and the beds were great... nice OU pillows. The Wi-Fi was fast (our room was close to the lobby) and even being in a major traffic hall, it was not loud at all. Hard to find much wrong with the OU Inn. Could have been $25 cheaper... but you pay for the location, and we benefited from location... so you get what you pay for.

Facility was well kept and conviently located. Checked in a little late in the evening yet desk staff was right there. Very helpful with local knowledge and a great personality. Very comfortable room with everything we needed. My daughter forgot to pack her toothbrush and one was given to her at the front desk. Good internet connection with password. Breakfast was very good with excellant waite staff. Would recommend with confidence to anyone.

school visit

My daughter and I stayed at the inn because we were visiting OU. The Woman at check in was very nice and helpful as were all the staff we came into contact with. We ordered room service and it arrived quickly and hot. Beds were very comfortable and clean. It was nice to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. We would definately stay there again.
