We were upgraded to the sister hotel- the Herodion. Both hotels are ideally located for a visit to Athens. Our room even had a view of the Arcopolis! The breakfast was wonderful and the staff very helpful. It was a breeze to get to either hotel from the airport as the subway stop was 3 blocks away. Also ideal for visiting the New Acropolis Museum.

“Phillipos Hotel in Athens, Greece”

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a week or so in 2003, we enjoyed it so much that we stayed another week here in May of 2009. The hotel is clean, quiet, comfortable, and convenient to everything; you can walk to the Acropolis or the Plaka in a few minutes; the Metro is a block away; the new Acropolis Museum is one block away; there are a dozen fine cafes and tavernas nearby; the Staff are freindly, helpful and all speak English very well; and, there is a good, free breakfast every day. Wake-ups, taxis, and island tours are easily arranged at the front desk. I have no problems recommending this hotel, it has been great for us. Thanks

Location in a quiet, nice part of the city 2 blocks from Acropolis. Not fancy, but had all the basics, and was a good value.

I was extremly happy about the hotel, location is perfect: very good neighbourhood, close to everything, very clean, helpful staff.

The staff were very helpful. They made sure to let me know what things should cost and warned me about places to avoid. There were strikes but I was not inconvienced. The staff was protective.

“Convenience in Athens”

The room that we had at the Philippos Hotel had a small balcony overlooking the Parthenon and was a 5-minute walk to Plaka, the old town, with good restaurants and shopping everywhere. The neighborhood was quiet and very safe and would be fine for single travellers. The room was fairly small but was clean and neat. The breakfast every morning was quite substantial and good. Internet usage was extra but quite reasonable. I would highly recommend the hotel to any traveller.

“Fantastic service and great location”

A stone's throw away from the Acropolis, this is a great little hotel. Bathrooms were extremely small but that would probably be my only complaint. The staff couldn't do more for us and I would definitely go back.

“Convenient Quiet and Clean!”

A very nice stay for 3 days. Room size is small, bath room is tiny, but I am sure that it was simular to others in the Athens area as far as size goes. Loved the balcony and view of the Acropolis! Very reasonable rates.
