Nice and calmPosted Aug 21, 2013
Pros: The place, the mountain, the buffet
Cons: People should be aware that they need to pay $ 10 one time fee at the gate of the park. this should be automatically included in the price

Great place to stay for Stone MountainPosted Aug 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
The rooms were very nice with comfortable beds. They offer a great breakfast buffet, it is not cheap, but it was good. Thu also offer free parking for Stone mountain the next day since you stayed with them.

THE MARRIOTT STONE MOUNTAIN CONFERENCE CENTERPosted Jul 21, 2013
Pros: NICE SETTING, ROOMS WERE CLEAN. THE BEER I DRANK WITH MY RUBIN WAS ICE COLD. THE MAIN RESTAURANT HAD THE BEST BREAKFAST BAR I HAVE EVER SEEN.
Cons: MORE ATTENTION TO DETAILS IN THE ROOM AND BATHROOM. FOOD AT THE BAR DOWNSTAIRS WAS HORRIBLE. THE GAPS IN THE QUEST ROOM DOOR ARE 3/8" OR MORE.
Location: CLOSE TO STONE MOUNTAIN AND CLOSE TO THE CITY. INSIDE POOL AND SPA HAD WAY TOO MUCH CHLORINE. EAT AT THE GOLF CLUBHOUSE MARRIOTT OWNS, OR GO TO TOWN
THE LAKE VIEW ROOM WAS VIRTUALLY NON-EXISTENT. THE ONLY THING YOU CAN SEE FROM YOUR WINDOW IS GREEN FOLIAGE FROM THE TREES, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GET ANY OTHER ROOM IN THE HOTEL. (UNLESS THE LEAVES ARE GONE FROM THE TREES IN THE FALL AND WINTER). THE BALCONY WAS SMALL AND NOT TOO CLEAN. THE BATHROOM SEALANT JOB HAS NO ATTENTION TO DETAIL. WE KEPT HEARING PEOPLE OUTSIDE OUR ROOM FROM THE HALLWAY LATE AT NIGHT AND EARLY IN THE A.M. BECAUSE OF THE LARGE GAP AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DOORS IN ALL THE QUEST ROOMS ON THE MAIN FLOOR. IT WAS AN ASTOUNDING GAP OF WELL 3/8 " PLUS. NO DOOR THRESHOLDS INSTALLED ANYWHERE. HOWEVER THIS HELPS THE STAFF WITH BILLING RECEIPTS, SOMEONE SLID A RECEIPT UNDER MY DOOR EARLY IN THE MORNING AND I FOUND ON THE FLOOR WHEN I GOT UP TO USE THE BATHROOM. I HAD THE WORST RUBIN SANDWICH AT THE RESTAURANT/BAR DOWNSTAIRS I HAVE EVER HAD, AND I HAD QUITE A FEW. THE MEAT SLICED THICK, WRONG AND WAS FULL OF GRISTLE AND I COULD NOT TEAR THROUGH IT WITH MY TEETH. THE BREAD WOULD STAY IN MY HAND AND THE MEAT WOULD PULL OUT FROM THE BREAD. I WAS SO HUNGRY FROM TRAVELING AND THE RESTAURANT UPSTAIRS ON THE MAIN FLOOR WAS CLOSED SO I RELUCTANTLY CHEWED THE MEAT AND ATE THE BREAD AFTERWARDS.TOOK ME TOTALLY BY SURPRISE,NOT WHAT I HAD EXPECTED FROM A 4 STAR. THERE WAS ONLY ONE OTHER TABLE OCCUPIED AND WE WAITED FOR 10 TO 15 MIN FOR A SERVER AND I HAD TO WAVE ONE OVER BECAUSE NEITHER OF THE 3 WOMEN THERE WOULD RECOGNIZE OUR EXISTENCE. HUGE CONFERENCE CENTER ROOMS.
