Found a bug in our bed, carpet under bed dirty.Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Location - Downtown Atlanta...
Cons: Room Cleanliness, front desk helpfulness and valet checking out. The overnight parking is too expensive along with the daily rate.
Location: Enjoyed the many places to view all within walking distance.
My over all experience was not good, even valet parking, when checking out we told them that we would pay cash and she charged it to our room anyway. OH MY!!!

Convenient to downtown attractions and restaurantsPosted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: The lobby was very nice and most everyone was nice and helpful. Great location for us. Clean and good atmosphere.
Cons: The pool for sure. The comforters on the beds were too small - we fought over the covers all night. Free WIFI. Free Parking if hotel parking is full.
Location: Located downtown Atlanta. Lots of restaurants, walking distance to the Coke a Cola Museum, Aquarium, CNN, etc.
We went to Atlanta for a weekend getaway with our 2 kids, age 14 and 15. The hotel was very nice, lobby area, etc. The room that we stayed in was a little small for our family. We had 2 double beds - queen size would have been much better. The comforter was not big enough for the bed - we fought over the covers all night! The bathroom was small and we did not have enough towels. We did not have free WIFI - $18 extra. We were looking forward relaxing by the pool and the hot tub - but the pool was not very big - neither was the hot tub. It was so crowded we decided not to swim. The pool was very small for such a large hotel. The only other complaint would be that the hotel parking was completely full when we checked in and we had to park 2 blocks down the street and had to pay an additional $40 for the 2 days of parking. Wasn't planning on that! The hotel by far is very nice and we were treated very kindly. We enjoyed the location and walked everywhere we wanted to go. The concierge was very helpful in recommending restaurants - a Brewery and Thai - we had 2 great dinners!

Huge hotel, many groupsPosted Jun 29, 2015
Be prepared for a massive operation. Cool architecture, gigantic layout, elevator lines (but they run fast once on them), lots of family reunion crowds. Clean. Unique interior vistas given open center. Parking lot gets full, so don't arrive too late. Few surrounding local eating options, so do homework. We walked to and enjoyed Poor Calvin's, a local haute cuisine favorite down Piedmont.

Nice downtown locationPosted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: Staff, location, room cleanliness
Cons: TV reception system
Location: Close to a few restaurants, nice location, close to I-75.
Everything was terrific except the only two time I came back to the room to relax and reenergize the TV was not working due to "no signal" from " Dish TV" system. Quite frankly this did spoil my visit to the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta.
