Beautiful hotel, great restaurant, Staff OKPosted Feb 25, 2015
Cons: If the hotel lobby is swamped, don't make people leave their bags on the carts while they go to their room. Unsafe and you could lose their stuff.
Location: Can walk to Phillips Arena, we took a cab to STEEL - amazing sushi place.
This architecture of this hotel is awesome and is really cool inside. We ate at the sports bar inside the hotel and had an awesome experience (drinks were very pricey tho) and overall had a good experience in the hotel. Things we didn't like: had to wait in a long line that barely moved to valet our car. There was a sign that said garage was full even tho it may not actually have been full (but we didn't know that at the time). I got out of the car and went to check in while the rest of my party stayed in the car. Check-in was nice and fast and the guy was very friendly. But THEN - we were not allowed to take our bags to our room. We not only had to WAIT for a bellman because it is a "full-service hotel", but the guy treated us like 5 year olds and said we could "absolutely not" take our own stuff. I understand they want the tip, but we didn't want to leave our stuff unattended while we went up to the room and the lobby was a madhouse full of people. So we waited for a bellman, who was fortunately really nice. Room service staff was very nice as well.

Pros: Very convenient location to most anything you would want from the downtown Atlanta airport. Easy access to interstates and MARTA.
Cons: Some of the staff were phenomenal, especially all the valet team. Some of the front desk people were not so helpful.
Overall my experience was great. The hotel had a lot of great amenities and was in a great location.

Me time with my husbandPosted Feb 11, 2015
Pros: The vibe, atmosphere, the lounge, restaurant, the view, close walking distance to everything, and seeing all of the people host different events also.
Cons: Check in could be by 1:00 PM instead of 4:00 PM, but we were able to check in early.
Location: There are several high end restaurants in the vicinity, shopping, MARTA, nightclubs, museums, and pieces of Atlanta history.
My husband and I wanted to get away for some "me time" and we always find ourselves going to the Marriott Marquis. We always enjoy the amenities such as the indoor pool and the hot tub. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant--where the buffet is awesome! It was so peaceful and quiet--we got the needed rest we were looking for!

It was a good hotel, friendly staff, nice lobby. The three level lobby is a little confusing at first.

Clean, comfortable stayPosted Feb 9, 2015
Cons: see above
Overall I would say that our stay was a pleasant experience, but I don't think I would stay here again. I found the hotel building to big and tall. It was overwhelming. I'm not fond of heights, so the glass elevators, 47 floors and open view to the interior of the hotel was a little terrifying (my problem, not the hotel's). We were on the 28th floor and the room had a wall of glass view of downtown. Quite breathtaking at night with all the lights but not good when you have 'vertigo'. One thing I didn't appreciate was the constant tipping. We had barely crossed the lobby floor and had already spent $17.00. The $35.00 a day valet parking fee was a surprise as was the $15.00 a day fee for Wifi !!! Have never been charged that before, anywhere. With 47 floors, and possibly 30 rooms per floor at an average of $150.00 a night (Wifi and parking included) I would think Management could afford to pay their staff so that guests wouldn't feel that it's their job too, after just shelling out for the room.
