Check-in clerk was pleasant but distracted with other people while she was supposed to be serving us. She neglected to tell us about the breakfast, how to access wifi, and even how to locate our room. The room was a room for handicapped and though I didn't (knowingly) request it, that was fine. The bathroom only had a shower and there was nowhere to set shampoo or even the bar of soap. There was a missing towel rack with only one support arm still in place. Tissue holder was empty. My husband and I had already decided not to return here, but after our experience at breakfast, you couldn't PAY us to stay there. We walked into the breakfast room with 30 minutes left before closing, everything looked pretty picked over and empty. The woman in charge of the breakfast area was walking by as we were looking for hot water to add to instant oatmeal and she just ignored us when my husband asked her. When he tried to get her attention again she just lashed out us. Apparently she had a challenging situation to handle before we arrived; but that shouldn't have affected the way she treated us.

Very good stay. The room was huge and clean...nice tv and kitchenette. Nice staff too. The worst part was the bed, it was lumpy and the springs poked out.

Never Again!!

Where do I begin... Upon checking in the guy at the front desk was on the phone and never addressed me. Get up to the room, sheets were left in the room from previous guests. The bathroom had wires visible where the blow dryer should have been. Went back to the front desk and the guy asked ME if I would put the sheets outside of the room and they will eventually put up another blow dryer... The pool closed at 8 p.m. for " SAFETY" reasons.. And the side access door' s pad was ripped off so you had to go all the way around the building to bring you luggage in and out. The maids walks into your room without knocking.. I can go on and on....

The Good The Bad and The Ugly

The Good: On arriving home we realized we had left something in the room. By the time we realized this, it was 9:30PM. I called the hotel and Bridgette answered to a frantic caller wondering if anyone had turned our items into the lost and found. Bridgette went above and beyond to locate our items. This included disturbing the new occupants in the room we had! Items found! Thank you Bridgette and thank you Andrew for being pleasant and accommodating! The other plus to staying here was the shower was hot and the fridge was cold. Beds were comfortable and clean. The Bad: The bathroom floor had hair around the toilet and baseboards. Two of the lamps did not work. The safe and coffee maker were broken and when mentioned at the front desk to Smitt his answer was that most of the safes did not work...WHAT? FIX THEM! The Ugly: The location is very sketchy and this is coming from someone that lives near Detroit. The parking lot is always full so you are told to park in an abandoned parking lock that you need to squeeze through a gate that only opens so wide because of the chain and padlock, schlep your luggage, if you didn't drop it off first, AROUND the hotel to the front of the hotel because the side doors don't work. Now this is where it gets really ugly folks, hubby parked the car in the eve in the bad parking lot and was behind some other folks squeezing through the gate..the guy infront had a GLOCK sticking out of his pants! Toothbrush, undies, gun...check!

Disappointment

I was disappointed b/c the beds in the room were rickety and noisy. They were not comfortable at all. The hallway had a mildew, musty smell. The so called continental breakfast was 2the things of cereal and some mini muffins and oj. For the price, I would have expected more.

The room smelled bad and was not clean. Furnishings were very old and not on good shape. I don't see how this place keeps its franchise name.
