remodeling hotelPosted Nov 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Construction happening most of the hotel, gave me stinky smoking room and offer free cancelation at the last moment. Half of the main hot breakfast is closed due to construction. TV DISH not working due to construction. Stay away during construction or never go back

staff was very nice. the computer had my arrival and departure for Nov 16-17. I clearly made reservation for 15-16 and showed my confirmation number. They were sold out of rooms but they did put me in a SMOKING room, with a damaged bathroom door with the wood peeling off, the additional lock on the door for security was broken, the AC/heating unit front panel was broken and leaned on the unit exposing internal parts, hall way dirty, bathroom toilet seat dirty, site said breakfast buffet, there was no buffet, ceiling leaking water in the dining area near the breakfast bar where the food was suppose to have been. But good hot coffee and tea.

BOOKING COMPANY NOT INFORMEDPosted Nov 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
THE ROOM WAS OK BUT AFTER TALKING TO THE BOOKING COMPANY GETTING INFORMATION ABOUT THE BREAKFAST ROOMS ETC AND ARRIVING WE FOUND THE HOTEL WAS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND THERE WAS NO HOT BREAKFAST ONLY A CONTINENTAL LIKE ANY OTHER PLACE.. AT BREAKFAST ALL OF THE CONSTRUCTION GUYS WERE EATING AND DRINKING COFFFE AND THEY ALSO START WORK EARLY IN THE MORNING.THE HOTEL AFTER CONSTRUCTION MAY BE FANTASTIC BUT NOT NOW SO. THE BOOKING COMPNAY EVEN PUT US ON HOLD AND TALKED TO THE HOTEL ABOUT THE GRAND BREAKFAST WE WOULD HAVE AND THEY WERE NOT TOLD OR AWARE OF THE CONSTRUCTION.

Hotel surounded by construction equipmentPosted Nov 7, 2013
Pros: Nothing, even the low price is too high.
Location: Not much until they finish the construction, maybe.
I thought the hotel was closed and abandonded. First drove in from main street and cound not get around to the front of hotel due to construction. Took 10 minutes to find a street around the side to even get into the lobby. Interior of hotel is under active construction with many workman taking degris down through the passenger elevators. Not a good place. I have been there years ago and it was fine for a utilatarian room then and may be so again in the future but that is a long way off as fully one half of the hotel is being reconstructed inside and outside from top to bottom. The other half suffers as there are only plywood temporary partitians seperating the two halfs and the mess is in the public areas.

They were under construction! I wish that was said on hotels.com when I booked it. Other than that it was at least clean

I was ok until I was woken up by some rude characters in the hallway woke me up banging on my door when I went to the pep hole to see what was going on they were in the hall fighting and I had to get up early in the morning. It was just very disturbing and I was not able to go back to sleep.

Pros: I got a good laugh from the room rate posted inside the door to the room, which read: 1 person $250, 2 persons $250, 3 persons $250, 4 persons $300.
Cons: It will be very nice when the construction is finished. I hope they keep their rates reasonable afterwards.
Location: Close to the places we needed to go.
Enjoyed a restful night at the Cobb, after driving all day. Passed it up at first, because of lack of signage and all the construction. The first room they gave us had the smoke alarm chirping and the room smelled terrible, but they happily gave us another which was very nice. The room seemed very clean, and we were comfortable. The free breakfast in the morning was very nice, with lots of variety. The only "staff" I encountered was the man at the front desk, and he was very courteous, and his manner gave me assurance that our stay would be pleasant. There is a lot of ongoing construction, it didn't really cause any bother for us.
