Never again

Room smelled horrible, tv would not work had to move to another room in a different floor. We have always stayed at Country Inns but we will not be returning to this location. A big disappointment !

The manager/front desk was rude when we checked-in. He looked as if we had burdened him or something. He left to answer the phone a good 5 minutes before he returned to complete the check in. We booked through Hotels.com and clearly asked for 1 room for 4 adults and 2 little children. He looked angry and said it was not okay. I had to show him our printout from Hotels.com, then he said, "well, just this time." Yup, just this time- Never again will we set foot in another Country Inn & Suites. The room was dirty. There were popcorns on the floor. The stench of cigarettes smokes permeated the hallways. The bathroom was not cleaned.

Our stay began with a 30 minute wait to check-in because the desk clerk went to the bank. There were probably four groups waiting to check in and she didn't seem to care when she got back. Also, the A/C in the room was loud and kept us up most of the night. The breakfast was decent and the room was spacious.

Below avg hotel condition. Sink had no stopper, tub faucet would not shut off completely. Checked in late night around 10:30 pm. Deck clerk had a bad cold and was handling the card keys. I had to call down to get help with the television. He arrived quickly and proceeded to take about 5 - 7 minutes to get it all working. He was sniffling and coughing and had his hands all over the remote. Once he got it working, instead of immediately dismissing himself, he was interested in what was on and focused on the tv. I had to say thank you and move his toward the door. When I checked out I mentioned the room issues to the manager. He asked why I had not brought them to his attention and I asked why the cleaning crews had not noticed the issues. He offered no discount for my troubles. Won't be back.
