“I will definitely be back.....”

My recent stay was wonderful....they have a new lobby area that can accomodate morning breakfast, afternoon glass of wine and evening snack all with an extremely friendly staff. The rooms are recently rennovated and quite comfortable. My only complaint was that one evening I could hear the TV in the next room, but other than that it was a very pleasant experience . Everything was extremely clean and everyone very helpful. I will definitely be back.

“Excellent Stay”

Perfect location for Peachtree Road Race. A quick walk to MARTA station takes you to the start, then a quick walk from Finish and you're back at the hotel. Excellent service, ample free parking. Quick freeway access. Thank you!

“Nice upgrades and great location!”

I was very impressed with the new layout of the Courtyard, I travel a lot for business and personal and typically do not spend much time in Hotel lobby's. The new seating and layout very comfortable, that I came down to watch the NBA finals game in the lobby with others.

Area recommendations

I would recommend Midtown, the location had great access to the freeway, resturaunts and the great downtown Atlanta skyline.

“Nice Hotel, Convenient Location”

The hotel was clean with a professional staff. I loved the convenience of the lobby. There was a nice cafe that served breakfast and lunch items as well as computers to print out boarding passes. In addition, an interactive concierge was in the lobby for any additional needed information.

We went out to dinner in Midtown and drove around the city. It was beautifl!

“Great midtown hotel in Atlanta for good price”

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Great location close to downtown Atlanta and free shuttle service to major downtown attractions.

“Lots of construction updates going on”

The hotel is next to the Interstate and <1 mile from the exit (#250 from I-75 South) ramp. The hotel is only about 1½-2, miles from the I-75 North Entrance ramp. That’s great! No getting lost trying to find the hotel in a huge downtown major city. The hotel was really nice, & up to the standards expected from Courtyard by Marriott. The rooms (bedroom and living room) were huge. There was a small refrigerator, coffee maker, and lots of counter space. The room was clean & neat. The hotel is going through a major renovation though. At night only visual evidence can be noted. Around 9:00 AM you get the full effect, both audio and visual, weather you were asking for it or not. The hammering then begins! The maintenance engineer came to our room to repair a light. He heard the hammering and later helped us out and tried to make things right with us for the inconvenience. Because of this, we were satisfied with our stay. The nice man at the front desk on Saturday morning (10/16/10) at check out was fantastic as well! Once the construction is completed the hotel will once again become what is expected from Courtyard by Marriott. Unfortunately, construction is noisy! It’s the way a business handles it that makes or breaks them. The hotel shuttle service was great as well. They took us to Piedmont Park as a service to its guests. A little bit of an inconvenience from the hotel is the breakfast is NOT free. It’s not expensive, but it’s not complimentary! Watch that one! Staff is great!

Area recommendations

The hotel is in downtown Atlanta, a major American city. The neighborhood, as we were told, is not the best at night. To avoid possible problems we didn't walk around the neighborhood while we were there. We took a cab. Piedmont Park is 1 mile away, as is the Varsity. GA Tech is less than 1 mile away. The Interstate is beside the hotel. If you are looking for Midtown Atlanta convenience this is your hotel.

“Good place for visiting Tech”

Good hotel, get breakfast it was really good. We were visiting tech so it was very convenient as far as location. room was very quiet considering the interstate outside window. Staff was very helpful as far as dinner recommendations and even called the takeout place for us. Bathrooms needed a little work but, hey your only there for a few days.

“Poor Choice”

The check-in was poor (see above); it took at least 1/2 hour for the clerk to finally find our reservations. When she did, we mentioned that we had paid for the complete breakfast buffet the next morning. She could find no record of that. She did, however, say that if I had proof of this (I did) they would honor it. The next moring, we again had to go through a long song and dance to get the "complimentary" breakfast tickets. The condition of the room and bathroom was poor. We had no ice bucket (there was a lid for one, but no bucket). When we called the desk about this, it was at least 2-3 hours before a bucket was delivered. There was a powdery residue on all the surfaces in the bathroom. It appeared to have come from cleaning compound which had not been washed off. There were no cups in the bathroom. All in all, the room itself was comfortable, but the service was very poor.
