“Prefer a Hilton”
The Hotel entrance is hard to find. They charge to parki because they use their lot a shuttle spot. The room service for myself and 2 other friends was a bad experience and they compensate differently. I received a free orange juice, one friend paid no price and the other friend was not compensated at all. The rooms are older no flat screen for those who don't have enough hotel points. I longed for my doubletree just across the expressway with free warm chocalote chip cookies
“They need to purchase vacuum cleaners”
When I first checked in I requested high-speed internet. Upon checking into my room there was NO high-speed internet connection. I had to cart everything back down to the counter and then back upstairs to a 'correct' room. The room had definitely not been vacuumed. I let it go since they found a room with high-speed and figured they would catch the next day. They did not. Not what I would expect from the rating the hotel had plus the Crowne name.
“Smokers Not Welcome”
If you want to smoke a cigarette you are banished to the patio in the cold and rain. $250 fine for violations. 20% of adult Americans still smoke. These 40 million citizens are not welcome here. Apparently Crown sees themselves as parental figures whose job is to tell patrons how to live in addition to renting rooms. A basic tolerance for individual differences would suggest that at least some of the rooms allow smoking and that there be somewhere inside where smoking is allowed. Expensive room service and lunch buffet. Thankfully Subway is next door. And when you're done paying for everything, get back on the patio where you belong.
“Not Impressed”
The hotel was not at all what I expected. The room had a weird odor that none of us could figure, plus it was dusty. The tv service was terrible and stayed fuzzy the entire trip.
“Won't stay there again”
When checking in two other guests returned to say that their keys did not work. I jokingly asked if mine would work. It did but upon opening the door I discovered that the room was not serviced and had to return to the front desk anyway. I had a club sandwich and fries in the lobby bar for dinner. Needed to be sent back because the fries we ice cold. Rooms have not been re-done in (I'm guessing) 15 years. Just seemed like a careless, inattentive place. Also parking required a $9 fee. Not big bucks but who expects that at a airport hotel?
