“not impressed”

very dirty and not maintained well, bed looked unmade when we checked in, carpet had big stains, holes in the wall, tub didn't drain

“Good stay for the price”

This is a clean place to stay. The location is convienant to the interstate. The breakfast is continental (all carbs - hot waffle, cereals, pastries, toast, bagels, etc.). The rooms have actual refridgerators in them, not the coolers that some have. So, you can drive two miles to two major chain grocery stores and buy some pre-cooked bacon or canadian bacon to go with the waffles for breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also speak English which is a good thing for me, since I only speak English. The beds were completely changed every day with fresh sheets and pillow cases, not just made up with the old sheets. For the price, it would be hard to beat.

What to pack

Since the rooms have fridges and microwaves, you can prepack a cooler with breakfast meats, to go along with the continental breakfast, and drinks. The drinks in the machines are kind of expensive compared to what you can buy them for at a big box store or grocery store.

“Great location in Marietta, GA, Nice treatment”

I am completly satisfy with this hotel. Location is wonderful. Close to major highways and the front desk was extremely helpful and cordial.

“I would go somewhere else if I had more money”

The hotel was ok and the toilet issue in my room was a little bit of a problem. Overall, I enjoyed being in Atlanta and I wasn't going to let the hotel ruin my trip. Breakfast was fine. I appreciated them having waffes eventhough they were not all that good. I give the hotel a grade of a C.

Area recommendations

None unless they asked me. I not completely fimiliar with every area of Atlanta. But for the location and price I would say Syrmna, GA for the Cumberland Mall. I like the area.

Shopping

Atlanta has many shoppes and shopping malls. I personally like the Cumberland Mall and Atlantic Station in downtown.

Dining

Everytime I go to Atlanta I stop at Gladys and Ron's Chicken and Waffles. The waffles are similiar to Waffle House in the way the look but the taste differently. The chicken tastes home-made and is seasoned to perfection. Tasty!!

Events and shows

There is always something going on in Atlanta. From its Fabolous Fox Theatre to its Underground Atlanta Shopping Mall. Atlanta is a true Southern Hollywood.

“I don't recommend this hotel!”

The room was ok, however the hotel in general needs some maintenence and cleaning, the people was nice and all though and the breakfast was ok. The swiming pool looked like lacking some cleaning etc. For the price I don't recommend this hotel. I stayed the next day in the Crowne Plaza Marietta almost for the same price.

“First Time”

Reasonable if it's your first time traveling to ATL. It's about 30 minutes away from downtown and Dave & Buster's is next door to the hotel.

“Good for the price”

It was convenient to downtown Atlanta. Its a good price if you just need somewhere to lay your head. The continental breakfast really didn't impress me.

“Ok for price..... maybe”

I was not at all impressed with this hotel. The exterior would have you believe otherwise but the hotel rooms have not been updated in what seems like decades. The hotel linens were not acceptable and guests are not given the "do not disturb" option. However, the hotel is in a good neighborhood and it is convienient to the interstate. Downtown Atlanta is 5-10 minutes away. The hotel staff was great and as helpful as possible. Overall it was an adequate hotel for the price, but I have stayed in better kept hotels in this price range before.

“What a pleasant surprise this place was.”

Expedia got us this place very reasonable for a Friday nite. It was a little hard to find but was close to I-75. I had a good computer blowup of the area so found it okay with 2 left turns into a secluded quiet commercial area. It is right next door to a Dave and Busters so we had a great meal walking next door. This hotel is alot bigger than we imagined (has elevator) but was well equipped and they gave us a ground floor room with late arrival as requested due to recent surgery. Breakfast was also well stocked. This will be our location of choice for yearly trips as a 1/2 way stop over we will look forward to. The bed was also comfortable. Had fridge and microwave also. We are becoming real fans of Day's Inn over the last couple years.

Area recommendations

Atlanta is a very cultural city if you check in advance and get tickets for shows. Also out of town there is the giant carved rock (one of a kind) that gives a great view if you have alot of time to kill.
