Breakfast

Posted Oct 19, 2014
After telling us when we checked in to come down in the morning and breakfast is served around the corner Continental breakfast will be ready for you.very messy a lot of items missing like no eggs. The bill was $43 for two people for a buffet and they added a six dollar tip in for themselves.$49 very expensive.I did resolve the issue though.it just took a while talking to a lot of different people.

Decent stay

Posted Oct 19, 2014
The hotel is convenient and centrally located. The rooms were somewhat clean but could use some dusting and mopping. Other than that the room was quite comfortable. I would have liked a refrigerator and/or microwave in the room for added convenience. The rugs in the common areas could use a deep cleaning. During my stay there was a couple arguing in the hallway for hours (apparently one locked the other out of the room). Only after I went in the hallway for the 2-3 time and said something did things quiet down.

Good for a one night stay only

Posted Oct 16, 2014
The hotel is in a good spot in the city. The staff was polite, friendly, and welcoming. The walk to our room was dissapointing. The hallways had a horrible old musty smell to them and the carpets looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in months. Our room was actually very clean. It was very small, but was good enough for the one night we stayed. It did suck that you could only valet your car and that you had to pay $30 for each day. Overall, it was decent for the money, but they could definitely work on cleaning it up a little more.

awful!

This hotels very outdated. The floors was stained. The bathtub had mold growing in it. The walls are so thin you can hear people from other rooms and from the hallways. I would not ever stay here again.

Walking distance from pretty much everything

Posted Oct 10, 2014
Pros: Hotel Staff was very helpful and attentive.
Cons: Place needs a remodel inside.
Location: Walking distance to pretty much everything. Great location
Staff was great; very helpful. Hotel was clean enough and had an awesome view outside. The hotel could use a remodel. Looks kinda old inside, the walls of the hallway look old and dirty. But overall, it was pretty good. Walking distance to all the tourist attractions.

Pros: Location downtown
Cons: Clean sheets and blankets on beds. Should change $30.00 per night to park. Breakfast should be included in rate. Breakfast was not worth $18.00 .
Location: Near stadium, restaurants
Overall good experience. Was not happy to wake up to find gum and hair stuck to sheets on first night of stay.

Good location to downtown attractions.

The hotel was nicely situated downtown. Olympic Centennial Park, College Football Hall of Fame, World of Coca Cola and the Georgia Aquarium are all within reasonable walking distance. It's very helpful considering you have to pay to park everywhere downtown, including this hotel. I believe it's $15/day but $30 for overnight. Please keep in mind that is in excess to your room fee. You are allowed to find parking all your own but I didn't feel it was worth the hassle. Nothing against Double Tree as I believe this is a practice of all hotels downtown. Their staff was helpful finding local places to eat and suggestions. Even the housekeeping crew made it a point to say hello with a smile! I'd highly recommend this place but I felt the rooms were a bit on the small side. Small inconvenience since most visits are only intended for places to lay your head after a long day of exploring. A big thank you to the staff at the Double Tree by Hilton for a wonderful stay!

Just Fair

The best feature of the hotel is its location. The guest rooms could use a sprucing up. The room was clean but basic as compared to other hotels in the same price range. The breastfast buffet was limited and there is no pool or whrilpool access if you do not stay in the suite. Your money would be better spent elsewhere.

Walking distance to everything

It was great. First time at a double tree hotels the valet was amazing as well. Actually getting to the hotel to valet was a mess. I would stay there again.
