Great Place to Not Swim

Posted May 18, 2015
We rented a room to stay at this past Shaky Knees fest. While it was technically close enough to walk to the venue, we usually got a ride from a ride-sharing service. They had a free shuttle that would drive you up to a mile from the hotel, but it was out of service whenever we wanted to use it. Breakfast was pretty good and I was usually able to find decent enough options despite being gluten-free. The biggest issue was that there was no pool and Atlanta is HOT. After a long, sweaty day there is nothing better than a refreshing swim. They have a weight room and a game room, and neither lived up to the hype. I have never actually been to a hotel without a pool before, so now I know it is something I need to check for before I book. Lesson learned! Conclusion, the hotel is decent, offers some good amenities (just not the ones I wanted/needed), is clean, the staff is great, etc. If you don't care for swimming I would definitely recommend.

Convenient location on Georgia Tech's campus

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Very convenient location to see all of the sights in Atlanta. Room was clean and comfortable and the staff were all very pleasant. A standard Hampton Inn experience. The free breakfast was very tasty. We were given a room on the 1st floor (street level) that was noisy due to the numerous passing cars.

Shuttle Service

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Location was great. Very helpful and courteous staff.
Cons: Did have to change from first floor Hotel because of street noise. This was very nicely handled by staff. Next room great.
Location: Picked this Hotel because it was so close to Coca Cola Museum and other downtown attractions. Lots of places to eat nearby.
Had a rent car but used Hotel shuttle it was great. Courteous drivers, didn't have to mess with parking garages for Museums and Downtown dining. Breakfast was good, lots of choices.

Hampton Inn - Georgia Tech, Atlanta, Georgia

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: Locations.
Cons: Elevator, breakfast quality, provide bottled water in rooms.
Location: Excellent location. 10 min walk to MARTA, which takes you to mid town Atlanta for all the great attractions. 5 min walk to GT.
Room clean, beds comfortable. Across street to GT, excellent location for GT visitors. 5-10 min walk to The Varsity for famous burger. 10 min walk to MARTA station. But hotel elevator was old and not working well. Hot breakfast was good for our first morning, but not good for the second morning. Hot tea was not hot, not even warm. Staff friendliness was average, nothing spectacular. Didn't use Fitness Center, but looked fine from the see-through window. It has treadmills, stationary bikes, and free weights. If you want to be close to GT, this is the one. Otherwise, consider try somewhere else.

Nice Hotel

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Cons: Towels could be softer!
Within walking distance of the Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola and CNN. Short drive to Stone Mountain. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Room was clean and hotel was quiet. Enjoyed our stay and would return to this hotel if we are ever in Atlanta again.
