Classy hotel in the heart of the city

Posted Sep 16, 2014
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Atlanta. Its sky walk connects to two other hotels and then to a shopping area. Its location allowed me to easily walk to nearby attractions and forgo the need to drive everywhere. I stayed on the executive level, which privileged me to breakfast and appetizers each day. The other guests I encountered during those dining experiences were very delightful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Its a hotel, not really a Hilton

Posted Sep 16, 2014
This hotel will cover your basic needs, but don't expect the usual wow of a Hilton in regards to amenities. The gym weights are old and toiletries aren't the best, but the bed is very comfortable. Again, nice hotel...I was just expecting something a little more fancy.

Poor customer service

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Cons: Every thing!
Upon arrival I was asked if I wanted to up grade to a higher floor with a room with a view of the city and wi fi. My room had spotty wi if at best and a view of the highway. The people next door partyed every night causing me to get no sleep and having to have security called. When I complained to the front desk they told me they couldn't help me, I has to wait for the person who checked me in to come in and they would have him call me. He did not call me. When I checked out, I complained again and the woman's response was, "okay, so". Then she asked me where I was from and when I told her New York she she rolled her eyes at me. As I left the desk she said "I hope you give us another chance". No, thank you!!! I've stayed in hotels from California to New York and over seas and never encountered such rude front desk staff!

Just OK

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Rooms were nice shower was great Check in representative was pleasant.
Cons: Daily Cocktail Party and Breakfast needs improvement
Location: N/A
While checking in the very nice lady clerk was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. She convinced us to pay for an upgrade to top floor with extra services of Cocktail party daily and full Breakfast. Both of these were very disappointing. I have had better at lower end Hotels not what I would expect from the Hilton. I was told Parking was extra per day and that the Hotel did not own the parking so they did not control the pricing. It was way too high. The room was nice and the view was nice. When I come back in October I will probably not come here.

Great location, friendly staff, nice rooms. My family and I arrived on Friday evening and stayed until Sunday. We had no problems at all with anything.

Hilton downtown ATL

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Our room was overpriced for the experience. If you plan on renting a vehicle then it's best to stay near the airport. The hotel's self parking garage will not house an SUV taller than 6ft. The bathroom was small. Housekeeping skipped our room 1 day, although we removed the DND hanger before heading out while they were in our hallway. For $139 per night I would like more for my buck.

Nice but

The maids didn't clean the room they only made the bed and replaced the towels. The rooms should have a mini fridge and a microwave.

Nice hotel, but older building and noisy

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Although it's an older hotel, it's still relatively nice. However, you can hear every word of conversations in hallways and nearby rooms. Had my room been insulated against noise, it would have been a great stay.

Husband's stay

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: The location, service, cleanliness.
Cons: Not charging hotel patrons $22 per night to park their cars there. Maybe just charge a flat rate for the stay at the hotel.
Location: Close to the museum, emory hospital, and freeway
My husband is in the Army and had to go to Emory hospital for heart surgery. I tried to get him some place close the hospital but still nice. He said everything was really great about the hotel, the staff, the atmosphere, except the parking. Having to pay $22 to park at a hotel he was all ready paying for did not meet the other level of services we have enjoyed from the Hilton hotel lines. We had the room booked for 2 nights, so it was $44 extra to park. But the location and everything else was great.

Hotel Feedback

Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: I had an important proposal due during this visit and was pleasantly surprised there was a FedEx in the hotel that could print and print/bind/ship it.
Cons: Room cleanliness was good other than a big Band-Aid stuck to the underside of the comforter.
Very nice hotel that looked to have a lot of upgraded features. Free guest Wi-Fi in the lobby, convenient food, and a the restaurant was good with a friendly staff.
