“Perfect place for the SEC Championship Game!”

After reading some of the reveiws I was very skeptical about staying here. But it was a great hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful. It also was within walking distance to the Georgia Dome, which was the main reason we stayed here. Definitely will come back.

“Wonderful”

The convenient location and great service of the hotel combined with the breathtaking view of downtown from my room created an amazing stay! It literally sits within short walking distance of the Georgia Dome, CNN center, Coca-Cola factory, and many other attractions. While the parking and breakfast buffet are both a bit pricey, the comfort, cleanliness, and convenience of the hotel is well worth the extra costs. The ammentities were great and the in-room Wi-Fi worked without any problems. The air-conditioning wasn't noiseless, but nothing out of the ordinary for hotels. Overall I was extremely satisifed with the hotel and will plan on staying there for all future trips!

“Weekend Traveler”

The hotel was very clean and you couldn't ask for a better location in downtown Atlanta,, Everyone is trying to find little ways to cutback on expenses but I thought it was very tacky that they didn't replenish the coffee or the toiletries after the first night..I could use my towel two days in a row but why even put a coffee pot in the room if you aren't going to furnish coffee.. They also charged several items to my account other than a standard deposit and told me that was normal...that it would come off in a couple of days ? Overall It was a nice hotel and I would stay there again

“Very nice hotel”

This hotel is very nice, clean, excellent location. Right across from the Aquarium, Coca Cola and two blocks from CNN. Legal Seafood restaurant in premises. Great outdoor pool. I would go back anytime

“BEST ATL STAY EVER”

1500 characters are not enough to describe my extreme satisfaction with HGIdwntwnAtl!!! From the valet guys (WONDERFUL) to the breakfast staff. (Chef B, Chef M and the waiter V.) this hotel definitely made my stay a complete experience. Legal Seafoods was awesome and so convenient. Was in town for the WTT concert and the walk to the Phillips Arena and back was great. I usually stay with another hotel when out of town but HGI has definitely moved to my number 1 spot for places to stay. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Area recommendations

I had a wonderful view the Olympic Centennial Park from my window. Please visit the Aquarium, it's so close that you could stick your hand out the window and pet a sting ray :)

When to go

Please visit when it's not too cold. It can get very windy if you plan to do any sightseeing .

Getting around

Take public transportation. The rates are great and it's very convenient when you don't know your way around. The taxi drivers are awesome.

Dining

Visit Legal Seafoods at the hotel, The Cheesecake Factory, and Gladys Knight Chicken and Waffle...Magic City Gentleman's Club has great wings and fries :)

“great location for area attractions.”

the people working for the hotel and in the restaurants were very nice and helpful. there were no restaurants in the area that served breakfast-had to eat at the hotel-which was a good buffet. the printer did not work in the lobby, so was unable to print maps. the air conditioner in the room was noisy when you put it on a lower temp. .

“Great location for families”

This hotel is right next door to the aquarium. There are several places to eat next to the hotel. The children's museum & the playgrounds at centennial park are also right there. Great location if you have small kids!
