Close to Stone Mountain, great deal

Pros: comfy beds
Cons: found a pizza roll under the bed:(
Location: Stone Mountain was great
We recently traveled throughout the Southeastern U.S. and by far enjoyed staying at Holiday Inn Express Hotels. We actually looked for them when we were ready to retire from a long day of traveling. The beds are the most comfortable, friendliest staff, and clean environment.

non smoking - was not non smoking.

Pros: convenient, clean, and staff was courteous
I asked for a non-smoking room and when I walked into my room it smelled like an ashtray. I kept the room but want to make note for people who would be making the same request in the future. Please keep non-smoking rooms free of smokers and smoke smell.

Our Stay was Very Pleasing.

Pros: The bed was nice and the room was clean and accommodating with a microwave and refrigerator.
Cons: Need a bigger sink with room to store toiletries and a place to put your soap when in the shower.
Location: As I said before, we like the location. We're near family, friends, shopping, great golf course Mystery Valley and Atlanta is only a few mi away.
We like the location and usually can find a good rate with Expedia. This is our second time staying here. The staff is always nice and check-in and check-out no problem. The room is a little small but it serves the purpose. On this visit I was a little disappointed with the shower and sink in the bathroom. The sink has no place to put your toiletries and the shower was handicapped accessible which the water didn't really get hot. On to breakfast, I like the breakfast but each time we've visited the pancake maker is never working. I finally got a chance to enjoy pancakes on the day of check out (4th day). Also, I took the opportunity to use the exercise room which consists of a television, two treadmills and a bike. I felt a little uncomfortable because I was the only person in the room and there were no staff person or camera in the room. It is on the 2nd floor by the elevator and people were stopping looking in the room through the window. With all that said our experience were okay. We didn't come to Atlanta to spend all the time in the hotel.

The hotel was nothing to sing praises about

Pros: The location
Cons: The smell of the room the tempature and the coffee needs improvement bad!
Location: Very close to stone mountain and easily accessible
The room was very small when we got there. The room was hot and it stunk.

Last hotel in our road trip

Great stay after a big road trip, we really enjoyed the comfort and nice smell if the rooms... Regular breakfast, and very easy going people...

Unbelievable

Pros: It was close to the events I was attending.
Cons: Read my experience above and you will know.
Location: The stay was in the Metro Atlanta area. There were many things to do and the staff was willing to share information.
The stay was so so. But, on my last night of staying at the hotel I didn't get back to my room until late. As I started to get into my bed I realized that the sheets were dirty (the sheets were changed after I left that morning). I had to share a bed with a family member. When I got up the next morning I realized that it was not dirt on the sheets but makeup (and a lot of it). I didn't wear any makeup the entire time of my stay. As I checked out I let the staff know what happened and the response was, " I will give your phone number to the manager, but you should have come and told us last night." I am still waiting for the alleged call from the manager. The staff went on to say "Since you paid through Expedia we can't do anything about it. I'm so sorry." Also, everyday of my stay I had to have my keys reprogramed because they would deactivate several times a day. Then the staff would admonish me for putting my room key next to a cell phone. I know not to do this and was annoyed that they lectured me every time. One day I had to get my key reprogramed 4 times.
